1. This phone can make call, receive call, send and receive SMS simultaneously. No Reboot require.
2. To dial from second sim, key in the number, select phone book record, type sms and press the little button on top of the volume control to switch to second sim.
2. To check file in memory card, go to My File and press "#" key.
3. To change ringtone, Setting-Phone Setting-Phone profile-select the profile and click OK to proceed.
4. Chinese character are supported.
5. To turn on loudspeaker, press OK button when you in the call.
6.Secret code, *#0206*8378# , you can modify alot thing but use at your own risk.

hope that i would able to help out, if i have mistake on above guide, please do correct me. Thanks

Does the D880 have a full screen option for video viewing? my D600 had a function which flips the video sideways for a larger screen size. Anyone?

both sims are working but only one is the primary one. if the phone rings and i don't pick it up than the answering machine will start but i don't know how to retrieve the messages or shut the answering machine off.

Are both the SIMs activated at the same time or is it just one.

I'm traveling in India through Tamil Nadu and Kerala since a week. Really good continuous coverage with both SIMs, one belgian and one swedish. Works really well. No problem in switching cards.

There is a problem listening to your voice box messages, when I connect to belgian proximus and tap in my belgian GSM number, the service says it is wrong. The client service can't explain. (he answering machine obviously isn't in the phone). For that matter, it wouldn't work with an Ericsson T39 either, so the fault is not with the phone.

My main objection is that you can not voice dial a number using a spoken command and that I can't write an SMS on my Palm TX and transfer with bluetooth to the Duo 880 to be sent. Both this I can do with several other phones (Ericsson, SE). Also, it seems that you can not download java programs other than some games.

Hello all,

I have the D880 also and I can't find how to listen to my answering machine on it or deactivate it. I looked in the manual and all through the phone but I couldn't find it. Does anyone know where to access the answering machine from?

Many thanks

Hello All.

Can any one help me with the memory card issue? How can I watch the videos when they are saved in the memory card? Also how can I save pictures and music on the memory card and be able to use them through the phone?

While to CHANGE your simcard WITHOUT REBOOTING the phone, is to press the little button (located above the volume button at the left side of the phone). just TYPE your desired phone number or SMS and then, press the little button on left side to select your SIMCARD (SIM1 or SIM2). Then press "SEND" green button which directly send phone call or message to your desired number without restarting the mobile.

You need to charge the battery for 8 hours just to last for 3 days, its bad. The battery normally is fully charged at 3 hours but it only last for a day.

I have a d880 and have same problem -- can only have one sim active at one time. samsung is terrible with their customer service on this phone, and it's completely unclear that this phone "holds" both sims, but doesn't allow you to use them simultaneously. I've tested it in three countries with four sim cards and guarantee it does not work. I've tried calling Samsung cust svce and got such a runaround I was furious (as my last 4 phones have been Samsung and I was a huge fan.

This model DOES NOT have a flash with the camera. It's actually a mirror!

poor battery life, that's because you have two networks working at the same time, constantly.
