i guess you can receive call at the same time in both SIM cards, one or any incoming call from both SIM card will be put on call waiting while you have an active call on your phone.

Samsung is a better known brand indeed but below comment is right. You wouldn't want to be unreachable when one of your SIMs is busy!do you? I vote with WND in this. Any idea if I can buy one online?

exec,
Who mentioned anything about Chinese garbage??! (excuse the term).
Samsung is a far better known brand for sure, but my Wind Duo is also Korean made & of unbelievable quality. When you see one, you’ll quickly notice what quality & good design are.

in response to the post below me. In Samsung's defense they are the first well known, quality, non Chinese (aka garbage) company to offer a dual sim phone. Which the rest of the world will trust as quality, unlike chinese standards. no offense of course

Late comers + ugly design!!
WND Telecom has been selling dual SIM phones for more than a year + unlike this Samsung D880 unit, my Wind Duo2200 will still be able to receive calls on the 2nd SIM when the first one is on a call

This technology is nothing new. China made mobile phones have this feature already - Dual SIM.
The design is ugly.

yes this should be really good phone bcoz of neywork prob we have to buy this phone. both the sims should work simultaneously without swithing off the either. similarly like spice D80 or D88.
i m big fan of samsung mobiles bcos of voice clarity and picture clarity.

Just to make it clear to everyone:
Samsung D880 Duos is a 2-Sim card (GSM+GSM) Standby mobile phone. What it means is that it can receive calls from 2 operators simultaneously without any prior adjustment in the phone applications. Hope it helps to resolve your doubts^^

As said earlier, CDMA in India uses SIM Card Also in Dual SIM Handsets. No research required on this subject anymore.
