mag, an unlocked set means that the phone can work on any gsm carrier by just inserting any carrier's sim card. a locked set means that the phone has settings exclusive to a particular carrier. in other words, you cant put a t mobile sim card in a v630i that has vodafone settings as the phone won't work.

An unlocked phone is when that isn't preset with a service providers software and settings. That means you can just pop in a SIM card and the phone will work on the network.

The disadvantage is, these phone usually cost more, and you might have to take some time to adjust the setting to work on the network.

The advantage is that there a lot of phones to choose from (most phones, at least in the states, don't get picked up by a service provider, so you usually have buy an unlocked phone). Also, you can use the phone on another network.

unlocked refers to a phone that can be used regardless of what mobile service you're using. locked phones can only be used by a sim card for a specific mobile service.

Where can I purchase the phone unlocked? I know it doesn't say it has push to talk, but is there a way that the D900 can do push to talk?

I don't think it does have autofocus. There is nothing in the manual about it, and many of the more recent pictures on the web show that the autofocus label has been removed from the camera. I think they disabled this feature since the prototype. Shame though.
