Buy SE W810, or 3Mpix, SE K790. 3Mpix without autofocus is useless. D900 doesn't seem to have.

Hey Savvy?!
I noticed you stated that you would be picking yours up 9th July. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE can you (or anyone else here with one) PLEASE confirm whether or not you can:
1 - Set the phone to ring AND vibrate AT THE SAME TIME
2 - Set your own personal songs (mp3s) as a text alert
Any help from someone who owns one (feel free to email me) would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

Oooh I forgot - The d900 needs an option to allow the user to change message tones to PERSONAL ones, and also the option to SAVE SENT MESSAGES!!

This will be a great phone if it improves its messaging properties from the d600. This includes:
Better predictive input: unlike Nokia, once finished a word while messaging, you cannot go back and change the whole word, it only highlights one letter - extremely frustrating if you select the wrong predictive word.
Uses up and down keys: this is a fairly simple option Samsung left out - to scroll up and down, not just left and right when writing a message.
Fixing lag time: self explanitory - when typing a message you experince a
'lag' from when you write a letter and when it appears on the screen.
Larger message memory: new Nokias can hold 400+ messages, the d600 holds a mere 200 odd.
If these factors are changed, and with an improved camera and a slimmer form, this phone looks like a winner.

Hey, I got just back from the store around the corner!
I'm searching for quiete some time now for a new cell-phone and the saleswoman told me that the phone will be in her store until the end of the week, meaning until 9 July 2006!!!!!!!
That would be awsome for me, I really liked the phone! Of course I want to hold it in my hand before I buy it, but I got a really good feeling about it.
By the way I live in Greece, i don't know when it's coming out in other countries...

Looks like a beautiful phone. I am in the market for a new one and will be anticipating the relase of this phone eagerly. It has everything you need in a phone with EDGE as a b onus. It is not 3G, but I don't have any 3G carriers where I live so it is not a big deal. Otherwise it looks very sleek and Samsung is known for their good forward thinking engineering.

I think that the design is nice, also the performance is good in terms of the 3 meg camera and that it has got word powerpoint and excel is good because of the size.

I like the look of this phone but would like to know more about it before forming an opinion. One major factor I'd like to know is if Samsung has made improvements over the D600 in the ringtone / vibration options as I really dont like the option to vibrate then ring but not vibrate and ring at the same time on the D600. Also my other question would be if they've finally allowed us to set our own message tones or if we'll still be stuck with the original tones only.

@Drsilverworm
Yor sound as if everyone is begging you to buy D900. If you think SE k790i meets your criteria..go buy it. No one is holding you back.
Do some researh read about D870 and you will get your answers. We are not here to convice you that D870 is better.
