eventhough i was a fan of samsung phones for a long time i tell you that after this i dont want to buy samsung anymore, damn samsdung they cant be trusted go with SE or Nokia people.

Hey guys I wanna buy this phone and I want to know if it is good ? Is this phone made of cheap material? and does this phone have like a loud speaker when your listen to music?

As I understand picsel file viewer is not a downloadable software and also this phone doesn't have symbian software. The only possibility is to flash with a firmware version in which the file viewer is working properly. But nobody has ever said that the file viewer IS WORKING in their phone !!

After viewing my guide for D900 (http://www.4shared.com/file/17...RICKS2.html) many users of D900-i wrote to me asking how to view documents etc. So I made a post here asking whether anybody got it working, thinking to follow that firmware version and to see the posibilities of flashing with that version. I repeated the post atleast three times here, but nobody said 'yes' !! So my conclusion is that this is a common issue with D900-i. As it is a new phone, and not many revesions of firmware are there, there is little chance of this feature working in some versions.
Flashing is also risky as it may have side effects also. Also flashing will void the warranty and is likely to change the IMEI. So the better option is to approach authorised samsung service or contacting dealer.
To know what feature the phone is actually missing, refer tip 34 of the above guide.

However if anybody finds that they can open/view documents, please report with the firmware version. (To check firmware version press *#1234# in standby)

this is what samsung telled me today

You should be able to view simple documents infex. pdf, doc file
formats. But the viewer cant show large or complex files though we dont
have any specific file size or so that we can recomend. I would suggest
that you maby try a small file with the text "test" or someting to just
try. If you still cant view the file there mightbe a software issue on
the phone and you should then contact your dealer for a software update.

To Noob,
I have tried speaking to samsung myself but to no success. what is the software version of the handset cause i see guys with different versions. my version is Dev.Version D900iJBGD1. still no word from samsung til now, since said they going to test the handset. Anyone with any idea for downloading document viewer software or latest software?

File viewer is somehow missing in this phone (no problem in d900). It can't be helped, I think.

if you consider plastic cheap than yes but except lg shine and nokia sirocco i dont know any other Phone that has full metallic cover
the cover is only look alike metal it has only metal inside it.

DOCUMENT VIEWER HELP NEEDED! Plz.

The slider is not as good as the d500 infact nothing can match that piece but its talking a long time to get familiar with the phone and for godsake plz tell me how to open the documents in the cell and do we need to buy the TV output cable seperately coz i din get it in my pack.....plz any1 any idea

i want to buy this phone....but i don't know some things .... first can i see videos on this phone....2 is the sligind sistem good..... and 3 dose it support a 2gb card ???

Ok so are you thinking of buying this phone? STOP if you are! This phone might have nice features, but it has been made on the cheap! It scuffs very easily even if your the master at looking atfer phones! The screen cracks very easy! And the worst of it all is that if your screens cracks the re-tailer (Shop) Does not want to no! If you want a phone with good deatures go for the Song Ericson k800i they are as good even better, and they are stronger phones! I advise you NOT to buy this phone even if your in love with it! Cheapest made phone ive ever had! And o also another thing, the chrome is fake! Cheap nasty plastic! Do NOT buy!
