I recently got a Vodafone 236 from my local hardware store together with a Vodafone CallYa card. Judging from the look and the specs, it seems to be a clone of the Samsung E1120, although it has the Vodafone logo on the front.
Yes, it's a very basic, not to say primitive unit. But hey, I need a mobile phone, not a super-duper multifunction device with camera, radio, browser and coffee machine integrated. And I got it as a gift for a purchase of more than 100 Euros, so why would I decline?

Just bought this as an interim phone as my current phone keeps failing miserably and long awaited Nokia phone not on sale yet. The Samsung E1120 is extremely basic - if you want a phone for texts/phone calls then it's fine - if you want more, forget it! No camera, can't find any ringtones, plus instructions are rubbish, but on plus side it will be good to have as a standby phone.

I got this phone because i wanted to make phone calls on the move i.e I wanted a mobile phone. Its cheap its easy to use and when I break it or loose it I will not be too upset. It has no camera, it has no mp3 player and it doesnt go on the internet. I will use the proper tools for these purposes when i feel the need. Its just a phone and a good one at that.

If you have a low budget then i would suggest you to go with Samsung E1120 Mobile Phone because the phone's appearance is fairly traditional and anonymous. Lids are plastic, which is not quite giving you the exclusive feel, the SMS-writing goes smoothly with the E1120. You can find easily in both spaces and punctuation menus. The phone also gives you great letter of sentences, which is far from it, has been a matter of course for Samsung's simpler models previously. Accordint to me this phone is for few that gives the phrase "You get what you pay for" positive tone. For more information http://www.techarena.in/review...le-phone.htm

I bought this today for £10 to replace a 6 year old "backup phone", first impressins very good, it looks stylish it is very thin, the buttons light up with a very clear neon blue - perfect for night-time texts.

My only 2 problems with it are that there's no pc connect-ability to change the awful default wallpapers, and there's no way to block/mute certain callers leaving others loud/unblocked, which is annoying for a work phone where the phone number is giving out publicly.

Despite that, a great basic phone, considering getting another as a gift for someone that constantly has trouble with whatever modern phone they get.

Samsung E1120 has compact bar design with metallic accent. It has vibrant 1.52" 65k CSTN LCD. It features call manager, call time limit, mobile tracker, SOS messaging. It has easy and intuitive interface & short UI flow for controlling menu. For complete review visit http://www.techarena.in/review...le-phone.htm

This phone is very small and compact and is good for the price. Got it for £10.00, pretty good price for a samsung. It does all the basic everyday things like talk and text with an inbedded sudoku game included, very good price.

I bought this phone from orange. It definatly does not have have any browser/wap2/xhtml/gprs, does not have mms-sms, only came with 10 ringtones (not 40) and 3 wallpapers (which are rubbish and you must select one of them) plus has no way of updating either (no downloads or data cable/software available). It also does not have the call time limit as stated on the samsung website.

My father has this phone he loves it to bits and says my LG Viewty is stupid. This phone is what you call stupid, it doesen't do anything and doesn't even have a 1.0 megapixel camera on it. Shame on my father for picking a £10.00 phone. Looser!
