Since most of the questions are answered by u, I hope u can answer this one as well. Can u plz tell how clock/date can be displayed in E200 in the standby mode. i have checked all menus but with no success. Thanks

If you are not sure about JAD file compatibility then create new one from JAR file through JAD MAKER software (search google for this software or download from my website). To install games on Samsung mobiles through USB cable or bluetooth, both JAD / JAR files (place both files in the same folder in your PC) are required.

HI,
bro usman i was tryed to install applications with ur web supported page in which i was succseed now i wants to know how will i install other jad files in my mb coz from mostly sites i download jad files but when i try to upload those jad files in java uploader software java upload software not loading these files its remaining empty what can i do for this matter? is ur jad files are speacially prepare for e-200 or something different matter waiting for ur early and favourable reply.

You can see "test mode" screen now. Goto “Version” then “S/W Version”. Then go back by pressing left key and select “H/W version”. My mobile has these versions:

H/W version : MP 1.120
S/W version : E200JPGF2 dated June 10, 2007

Here JP : Code for my country region (PAKISTAN)
G : Year ( A:2001, B:2002, C:2003, D:2004, E:2005, F:2006, G:2007, H: 2008, I:2009 etc)
F : Month ( A:JANUARY, B:FEBRUARY, C:MARCH, D:APRIL, E:MAY, F:JUNE etc)
2 : Second release

On my E200:
entering code : *#1234# shows “Dev. Version : E200JPGF2”
Entering code : *#1111# shows “S/W Version : BLS00.03”
Entering code : *#2222# shows “H/W Version : REV 0.2”

To upgrade firmware of your E200 mobile, contact the warranty provider / Samsung service center. There are unofficial firmware available for your Samsung E200 mobile on some russian sites but i can't guarantee that these unofficial firmwares are free from bugs.

Nokia 3110 classic : TFT 256K colours, 128 x 160 pixels, 1.8 inches (29 x 36mm).
Samsung E200 : TFT 65K colours, 176 x 220 pixels, 1.8 inches (30 x 36mm) .

Note that display size is same but resolutions (pixels) are different. While this is very difficult for a user to differentiate between 65K and 256K colours when display size/ resolutions are same. But here, Nokia has lower pixels resolution. So, i think Samsung E200 has better display quality than Nokia 3110 classic.

Now, I will compare E200 with my previous X700 mobile. In my opinion, the display of E200 shows almost same picture quality but true colours as compared to Samsung X700 (TFT 256K colours with 176 x 220 pixels resolution). E200 shows true white colour on display screen and X700 shows white colour with yellowish shade. Due to faster processor, E200 can play 3GP / MP4 video files of 30 frames / second very easily which is impossible in X700.

Its M.Owais from PAKISTAN,can anyone telme how to install application files on samsung e-200 im trying to install jar or jad both type of files but when i sent file on mb,file is appearing as unknown file format pls people help me out of this coz m not be able to install no games no application in my ph

Hi usman

I ask you before how to keep my memory card as default storage for pictures.
but there is no option i think i have old version of software.
my software version is E200B.04 and hardware version is Rev0.1 . How i vl upgrade my software plz inform me urgently.

You can also record phone calls through "Conv. Record" menu option when call is connected. Also 1 hour long per file with unlimited number of files on memory card.

Hello brothers. I need aid. The problem is my samsung e200 has so low volume that I can hardly hear when someone rings. Some said "just enter the code and change the settings it will increse but some said when they changed the settings and assign a mp3 asa ringtone the quality of sound become verypoor therefore they couldn't use even the radio function. so if there is someone who had changed the setting plase write your opinions plase...

But you can save all your SMS as a txt (or .doc) file. Use "Samsung PC Studio" or "Mobiledit" softwares to save all SMS into a txt file by copy/ paste method. Then transfer this txt file into memory card's "Other files" folder. Then install "Read Maniac" JAVA software on your mobile to read this txt file. This is the best text file reader for E200 mobile. And ofcourse, you can again transfer these SMS from txt file into your mobile's "Drafts folder" by copy/ paste method using "Samsung PC Studio" or "Mobiledit" softwares.

Make sure that memory card is present in card slot and you can access memory card's folders through "Menu/ My files/ Memory card" otherwise this "Default storage" option will be inactive (means you can't select this option).

Usman thanks for your comments. I buy a new E200 mobile. but there is no option for default storage in the came corder settings.

the options avaliable are
recording mode
size
quality
record audio
white balance
default name


kindly solve urgently

This is not problem if you are transfer files from PC to mobile but for file transfer from other mobile to E200, this tip is for you:

Use available free memory space of your phone so that only few hundred KB space is free. Now try to send any file through bluetooth whose file size is larger than free available internal memory of your phone. Automatically Samsung E200 will display this pop-up message:

"Phone memory Full. Save to Memory Card? Yes or No."

Select "Yes" option. This will save file directly into memory card. All files will be saved into memory card's main directory. Suppose, If your phone's internal free memory is 3 MB and you are transferring 4MB sized file then you will see above pop-up message.

N.B : This TIP works with all Samsung mobiles with memory card & bluetooth support. I have checked this on E200/ X700/ D600/ E250 mobiles and it worked.

For Videos, Goto Menu/Camera/ Record Video. Now press Left Soft Key and select option # 5 (Camcorder Settings).Scroll down and You can see 2 options for Default Storage: Phone or Memory Card. Select "Memory Card" and press Save.

Now All your Photos and MP4 videos will be directly saved into your memory card. And maximum recording time for a video file is 60 minutes (It depends on available free space on memory card. If you have less space available on memory card, then the recording time will be less than this.)
