the phone is not good but gr8. pros r the design, cam quality (esp. in low light), fm volume, mp3 sound quality. cons r not a gr8 screen resolution for its 4 x 3.2 cm size, mp3s cant be listened to in background, songs must b in playlist to listen in folded mode

hi guys i am from india .i just bought the phone 2 weeks back.What i like about te phone is its sleek style n gud camera.
but tell you what the batterylife is not gud at all.Mine lasts only 2 days without much work.On top of it you can't run any other application while listening to its Mp3 player.
Another genuine problem is that while tranfering via bluetooth default storage is phone which can't be changed(don't know why)so can't tansfer file greater than 17 mb even if u have an emty memory card.

I haven't bought this phone but I am going to and I just wanted to know

can you set your MP3'S as ringtones?

and what is the message screen like, for example is the writing small?
and is there a seperate space for the phone number your sending to.

to guy who asken about battery life:
u know...if I listen music,talk,take a pictures battery holds like 3.5 days but if use only for watching time like a week so i dont know is your old phone better than this!

but still this phone is amazing.since i bought it no problems...ok,only 1.how can i put videos there?srsly,i just cant.i have 1 gig memorycard and there are music and pictures and some videos to but i just cant watch them from the mobile.maybe i have to change something...plz i need help cause i verymuch love the videos.

hey guys i was wondering how the battery life is for the e210? i have a samsung z150 and it has a 900mAh battery and i need to charge it every third day(this is when i hardly use it) which i find really annoying. the e210 has a 800mAh battery so im guessing it would be worse? and i should stay away from it if i want a phone with longer usage between charges?

Samsung E210 is indeed a nice looking phone. What makes the deal sweeter is that it is also an affordable phone. Opening the box, I am immediately greeted by a sensibly black glossy phone and taking the phone out revealed how compact and light the phone is-what i like most is that it feels sturdy.

Switching the phone on immediately revealed a clear and bright interface thanks to the healthy resolution. While I had used better Samsung phones before, this entry level phone built to budget conscious consumers-this has indeed exceeded my expectations. The 1.3 MP camera delivers good quality pictures and the FM Radio works wonder when you tire out from your MP3 player music.

A couple of shortcomings on behalf of the manufacturer- the incoming call should have been ring and vibrate the same time and not vibrate first and ring later option as I find this system silly and unnecessarily. Secondly embeded wallpapers need to be freshen up and so are the SMS tones- they are either too soft or just outright bad.

Besides that, the E210 is a good phone. I wholly reconmmend this phone to everyone if you are able to look past some of its shortcommings.

Not bad at all. Been a week, and I find functions gd, all up to standard. Extra stuff like SOS msgs, reject button (on side) with auto msg sent, brilliant menu display, gd camera n video (with wide variety of settings), shortcuts, voice recording etc (list goes on!). Therefore nothing major to complain abt, but some minor things to note:

I don't think it has customised profiles where u can set your preferences(if someone figures that out, pls let me know!), only has silent (mute or vibrate) or sound. I cld set 5-6 diff profiles for diff senarios with my old old nokia (e.g. outdoor -loud with vibrate, meeting -lights but mute, quiet office -softer ring no vibrate, pocket -vibrate only, night -lights n beep only etc). Cld customise for msgs too. But I guess no one really needs all this, maybe I was just being anal. :P

Also, the alarm doesn't seem to recall the set time. Every time I disable the alarm, I wld need to set the time in again the next time I enable it. No biggie, but it seemed abit strange to me.

When I come to the end of a long msg, I can't seem to scroll to the beginning by clicking at the end, so I have to click all the way up to the beginning. It has no "run through" for text msgs, I think. Maybe this is common in other phones too.

My ancient nokia also had voice activation for radio - I am not sure, but this one doesn't seem to hv it. Again, no biggie.

Pls also note that caller picture ID does not appear on front cover, only on inside screen (no complaints from me - my old nokia phone did not support MMS, colour nor any photo ID. Haha!)

Indeed, this is my first samsung ever, so it just takes getting used too. Overall a good, reasonably-priced phone, with superb (basic) functionality. Not to mention the finishing of the phone is absolutely exquisite, n it looks very sleek!

finally i bought this fone today! only what i can say its awsome.music iss exelent and camera is perfect.im in love with this fone.just amazing!!!
its so simple and stylish.this is my 4th fone and its the best!im still playing with it but batter is not low!!!so cool.now i have to buy memory card.i made a 4 phonecalls and i hear very good and my mother hear me good too so its awsome.

yea da phto quality is great, and unlike VGA cameras it doesnt blur when it move it it a great camera! and does anyone know how to listen to music while using other applications

cud ne1 tell me how to get the photo caller id activated??.. it says that the photo wud appear on the external screen wen the respective person calls.. but its only displayed on the internal screen n not on the external one!! i hv tried attaching photos to my contacts.. but its not happening this way!! plz help!

I've had this phone for a month now. It looks great, very slim & compact. Im recharging it either every 2nd day if used fully, or every 4th day if phone is idle. I cant play any videos, but mp3 audio is OK with a MicroSD memory card installed. It interferes alot with car radios.

As mentioned by someone else earlier, i cannot customise my text message alarm, but can change calling and wake-up alarm, though they can only be played for 30 seconds max only. Would be good if they could be played longer, like on my earlier Motorola.

Other than that, I say it is a great mid-range phone without complicated features. OK about it!
