Yes it can be used to connect to the internet and can also be used as a modem but is a bit slow since no EDGE. But you do not have to bother about quick text input(much quicker than your fingers can type) & the keypad is awesome(will allow you to type more fast). It never hangs, and JAVA app loading and exiting is much faster than other samsung phones.

Good voice clarity - calling and called party.. nice loud ringtones... superb battery and talktime...can install opera mini and works really good.. fm reception and music player is Ok... only thing i didnt like about this phone is u have to buy usb data cable seperately as it doesnt come bundled with the phone...

Hi ... can ne1 pls tell me if any software is required for using a data cable, or the computer automatically detects the memory card as another drive on the computer??

Anyway I only need a single sim mobile so am very interested in this model. Only thing I am worried about is the keypad. Its distinctly different from the e2232 (dual sim verison). This single sim version has a mostly flat keypad except for certain keys that have a cut out border.

Another feature is micro usb support which the dual sim version seems to lack. I think that is an important feature because I don't see how you can copy music files on to the phone without computer connectivity.
