Its a nice phone its got everything and a good battery life except for the audio quality cant listen a clear voice that ruined the experience for me

A very nice phone. good battery life, good sound. no trouble at all. very easy to send messages. this is better than android phones because it is easy to use and less likely to be stolen.

if you want to turn off GPRS type code *#4777*8665#
this code open menu for GPRS settings, then turn off auto attach function.

sweeeeedont phone ... love it ..wrd of advice ..DONT play around with the buttons with ur wet hands thts wht i did to mine it stopped working perfectly ... got upset threw it dwn n kicked it abt ... nw i regret it

Hai i am using this mobile for last 25 days and like to share my exp abt this...
People use to buy this kind of mobile for only 3 reasons... 1. low cost 2. Better Battery 3. for Msg

But E2232 in not good at any of them.. regarding battery it gives only 2hrs talk time and i enquire about this at samsung service centr,they told the spec mentiod n net (ie 11 hrs talk time) is without using SIM (i.e not considering the power consumption while SIM card is placed)and 2 hrs is nominal no prob with battery.. so i am surprised how they calculating TalKing hrs with out SIM....

and one big issue is the volume of ringtone; according to me it is low decibel phone i ever seen..

Regarding cost, othr mftr like micromax, karbon also providing better phone with more features compare to E2232

a nice phone for its price, great sound, fast menu, easy typing, clear display, micro sd support up to 8gb, 3.5mm jack, great battery (up to 5days with lots of calling and texting),reject call with sms feature, call conferencing, loudspeaker, bluetooth, bluetooth messenger, group texting, multiple alarms, FM radio, voice recorder, decent vga camera with video, mp3 with rewind/forward, calendar with time organizer, timer, stopwatch, calculator, converter, and many other features; i got the new red color.

it's a firmware bug but I discovered a workaround:
the mp3/wave sound for messages has to be at least 10 (ten) seconds long.
You can choose any sound you want and then, before transferring it to the phone, use some kind of editor/software to "append" silence to it to reach a 10 seconds duration.
If the sound is shorter, the phone will play it over and over until a 10 seconds message alert duration is reached.
If your sound instead is already that long by itself, it will be played only once :-)

the data/recharging port supports USB but it is NOT a micro-USB connector.
It is a proprietary Samsung connector and you need to buy a suitable, custom data cable.
