if you're talking about the "music player" output quality... definitely Sony Ericsson is a winner!... im not so much satisfied with my E250 player sound quality especially via loud speakers... its rather poor... you'll be depressed if you ever compare it with a SonyEricsson!
though if you're talking about "voice quality" as in while talking over the phone... E250 is really very good!

1. to reduce the text font size: Settings > Display Settings > DIALING Display > font Size...
2. for Calendar: Settings > Display Settings > Calendar > OFF

Had this phone, did not like it. Flimsy, made out of very low grade material. Features aside, does not compare to the D900 in terms of quality. I'm certain those posting now who just received their E250 will return to recomment in a month of so and will give horrible updates of how the sliding mechanism either broke or deteriorated in general. Mark my word. Pass on this phone and spend the extra $100 for the D900; you'll get an infinitely better unit.
