I brought this E330 phone 2 weeks ago the picture quality of it is very poor indeed so i sold it and brought a E600. The samsung E600 is much better than this for taking photos and has a clearer screen 65K TFT. This E330 has a poor 65k UFB screen turns whats meant to be bright into dark and grainy pictures. When you view a picture through the viewfinder it looks ok but once you take the picture it saves it in the phone awfuly dark and grainy. Also this phone has no infrared or video capture. The E600 has video and infrared and is triband. E330 is only dual band and the battery life is really bad i had to charge it up everyday. E600 battery life lasts much longer than this.
So to sum up E330= budget camera phone E600= mid range. E600 has better screen 65k TFT is triband and has much better battery life and has infrared. E330 only has a poor 65k UFB screen no infrared, no video capture only is dualband and has bad battery life. The only thing going for it is it has a internal antenna but you can buy small stubby antennas for the E600 for less than £5 so this isnt a issue my advice would be to go for a e600 its only £20 more.

I just bought this phone today, have not had the chance to fool around with it yet, but I am really hoping that it has IR functions. But I doubt it, cause not that many people really use it.
PS. I can hardly understand peoples statements here, where the hell are they from? Or is this some kind of low level Internet English that has spawned since the birth of the internet? ;-)

This Fone is realy good the only downside is that it doesnt have video playback or recording but that doesnt matter because all other phone only record for 1 min anyway...
This fone is good if you get it on 02 because if you top up 10 pounds a month u can get 300 texts free witch comes in handy the menu layout is great and easy to use its packed ull of great ringtones and is a small flip phone ( NOT LIKE THEM BRICK 3 PHONES)THE PHOTO CALLING IS GOOD BECAUSE THE PHOTO SHOW ONTHE FRONT SCREEN SO IF YOU SEE A FACE of a person you dont like then u kno NOT TO ANSER lol...
Why does everybody talk about the fones bad points and make the fone seem rubish why dont people talk abvout good things aswel...

This is a great phone! I've just bought it and it took me only one afternoon to get to grips with the menus - and I've never had a samsung before! I love the photo caller and the vibrate is really strong!

So, which is it? Some sites say it has infrared, some say it doesn't. Some people here say it does, some people say it doesn't. And why can't I find it on the samsung site??

will you lot type english, this isn't a sms forum.
so far i like the phone, shame about the i/r and video record/playback. unlike other samsung models it only comes with a standard battery, hope that it gives good results. i bought mine offline so it had the incorrect settings loaded to o2 payg. but logging into www.02.co.uk and getting the settings texted to me using the settings for the samsung e700 worked perfectly well. also nice to see a snooze function with the morning alarm.

the fone iz basically the best, especially without the arial, i alwayz shew mine nd ruin it, but this iz a beast. Cnt w8 2 get it 4 xmas, sorry i dont no wether u cn get it on Orange, i wud prefer this fone on Orange 2, so letz c if u cn get it

This fone lukz ace, im errin it 4 xmas,hu kares bout video play bak, u cn only rekord for bout a minit on most video fones n way. can yu get this fone on orange? if so, were from?

It does not have infrared, does not record videos, nevertheless it is the telephone more wonderful that I have seen, I have order it and do not see the hour of have i it near .
The screens UFB have a quality of image very near to the TFT and consume less, depending on for what you look can seem to you to be better or worse.
