Hi all, From South Africa, we have this fone here now for about a month now and its only available in black... yet on this site it only mentions silver colour.

Answers ---> The smaller outside screen has a blue light.
Locking can be done for MMS, Text Messages, Photo's, Video Recordings, Ringtones, Mp3's, Games, and Voice Recordings.
My battery Life lasted 2days with Making calls and playing Mp3's.

Myself and a friend of mine bought this phone about a month ago. We do not recommend it. The battery lasts only 2 days (if you do not receive calls or play games). No really it was a waste of money. It only looks great, and that's about all.

I want to buy this phone but I have a doubt...
In some sites I found in the description that there are 9MB of memory, in other sites 40Mb. What's the truth? There are two version of the same phone? And the memory how is divided?

I want to know whether the E340 has a function that locks your text messages. I know you can lock your mms', video clips, etc.

umm.. what coloured light is in that smaller screen? is it blue, or just white, or.. some else? That could be nice to know^^ thanks if someone can answer^^

I got my fone a few days ago! Its great! The sound quality of the Mp3's is fantastic. And too answer someone's question, the Mp3 player still plays when the phone is closed. U can set the mp3's are individual ringtones aswell. Camera and Video recording is the best i've had so far. Video Recording with sound. My model is is Black with Blue lighting. Anyone has more questions about the fone i'd be happy too answer them

I have a choice between the Samsung E330 and the Samsung E340. I know that the E340 is a slightly better phone, but I like them both. I just cant make up my mind! What do you think?!

Hi I have been trying to download JPG & JPEG pics from my pc to the E340, but I am having no joy.Anybody know if this format is compatible with the phone, and if not what formats does the phone have or use?

Hi..
I just wanted to know whether the outer sceen is in colour or not.. On some websites it seems like it is, and on others it seems to be black and white. Although on the real Samsung website it appears to be black and white, in some shops over here in The Netherlands it's in colour..

I found the function to activate the loudspeaker, function not documented: During the conversation press on the key "I" (I blue in the medium of the arrow keys). A message will appear asking to you whether you wish to activate the highspeaker.

I bought this phone a week ago in Istanbul/Turkiye. All specs satisfact me except battery time. In normal use, it goes 2.5 days now. I'm disappointed for the battery. But, It may be necessary to fully charge and discharge the battery three to four times before it will be able to make use of its maximum capacity. I'll see. Also, there is no built-in handsfree. You can use with head-set or handsfree-set for handsfree speaking.

This is a very cool phone, it does the same as the E330 it only has got Mp3 and Bluetooth extra with internal memory of 40MB. Please stop asking stupid questions in your comments, use this website to get the information you are looking for. This phone is now out in South Africa only in Black. Nice!

The Samsung E340 looks great. Its just come out in South Africa. I cant wait too buy mine. The only difference is that it comes in Black only here, which i prefer. It looks so much better in Black with Blue key lighting. It has everything except 3G. Which makes it the perfect phone for me!!! I love it!
