you cant use IR alone, u need 2 get a comunication software, i got it from samsung website, i opened the fone page, and downloaded it

Hi, I own a Samsung E600 for nine months but i experience quite a number of problems.
-no signal cut off by itself while on calls
causing the an end to the call
-the phone just froze there when a message
is received.
-have to switch to chinese language before
the chinese han yu pin yin can used.
-if you type 2 or more messages, the phone
will start to lag.
-halfway through the conversation, you will
not be able to hear your other party for a
few seconds before your conversation
resumes, and i encounter this for various
number of times.
-Games cannot work at times.
I must say that this phone has very good camera features but in terms of technology for conversation and messaging, samsung will have to do something about it.

hello there. i dont have samsung e600 yet but i have plan/s to buy one in the near future.
as i read the opinions posted below, there are pros and cons with this phone..
i love taking pictures but when you will try to transfer your picture/s to PC or try to send it to another phone, you will then encounter problems..
if there's any other way/s to prevent that..please help me!
does it have mp3? can a record video/s?with voice recorder too?!

Samsung E600 is a really good phone! Yes, you are right, it has a lot of good features, from camera, video capturing, to a very nice and light design. The only problem that my friend and I have so far is that whenever you try to save/edit someone's number, it just froze! You then have to take off the battery and then attach it back in. Other than this, it's great! I have it for a year now, always in my leather case, dropped it like once :) and it's working just fine!

Reallly good phone , pity bout there being no Mp3support and not being able to send pics /sound files via IR ...and the aerial is annoying ;) otherwise alls good

I have had samsung e600 for a long time and i think that it is very good phone but why it isn`t possible to use irda like the rest phones-for pictures,ringtones and stuff like that?

I have had the E600 for a few months now and here r some good and bad points
Good:
Small, light, sexy, nice design, good camera, video, 64 polys.
Bad:
I cant seem 2 get the sound on the vids 2 wrk even wen volume is up high, the hinge is weak when its flipped down, lose signal all the time in calls, slow sometimes.
But on general its cool an i love it lol

i have had this phone for 7 months now..it has many good functions to it..like the camera u cnt get a betta quality.the downfall to it..is the text messages r always on t9.and buttons r quite small so if u like me n have big fingers its hard to use..also on videos, the sound it very very poor but the quality of the pixels is excellent ..it doesnt have bluetooth or mp3player. its a nice looking phone..small.cute and most the things on the phone r excellent..but i fancy a change from it now#!
