For those from the New World out there, there's the E635... the only difference is that E635 is triband 850/1800/1900. Please someone from GSMArena add it ;-)

this phone is garbage...i regret getting this phone. you can't do anything with it. i tried using the software from samsungmobile,but it still didn't want to send ringtones or pictures. it makes a great hacky sack to kick around with my step son!!

used this phone only for 1 year. Recently It keeps getting no service. I noticed another user wrote the same problem down there. Don't buy this phone. Not durable and overpriced

I have a d500 and I just bought the e630 for my wife. The e630 might be a cheaper fone but in my opinion it's a lot better and more user friendly. It might not have bluetooth, mp3 or video camera but it has a better feel to it because it doesn't feel like one of the cheaper fones- it feels sturdy and well made and not to mention that the functions are very easy to use.
But we both love our Samsungs and would NEVER go back to our old Nokias!

i love my phone..i have it for two years..but now i'v incontered a big problem..i can't use an usb cable i've bought to transfer my photos from the phone to the pc..i've installed the software needed for the usb cable but the program used to tranfer photos just doesn't see my phone and the photos i want to transfer..pls help me by sending an e-mail with what else i need to do ...maybe there is a soft that i need to install in the phone so this can work..thx in advance :)

I've had this phone for almost two years now and I've enjoyed it very much. But because I now want a phone with MP3 and so on, I'll have to get another one.

Referring to all the infrared questions: I've been told that I can only send business cards(name + number of contact person) to other phones and nothing else, defenitely not connect it to the computer by infrared. I use a datacable for that, and it works fine. Only problem was that the E630 has an almost unique output, so only a datacable specifically for E630 will work.

I like the sliding mechanism by the way, it doesn't pop up so fast automatically so you can choose how far you wanna slide it up. With other phones I always get the feeling it will slide right off...

And yes, it's a simple phone, with no MP3, video and so on, but all of you who bought this phone and are now annoyed about that: you could have read that in the specs on every possible site!

as in most Samsung phones, the Ir Port is USLESS except for IrModem feature... so dont sweat it and get a real phone... :)

i enjoy using samsung e630 because it's so unique. i encountered a prolem sending pictures via infrared.do i have any other way to develop or to print my photos stored in my phone? Thanks and more power. please send me any answer to my query thru my email address - mr_pbl@yahoo.com. tnx.
