i dont have one.
and ive never had a phone be4.
a couple of da coment made me tink dis da best phone eva but som gave me a little dout like if it aint in that many stores we can i buy it?

its a perfect phone for some 1 looking for a cheap n in tech wihtout megapixels cam but nice outer look, light weight, small n sleek plus it has really nice screen when de music plays..has been using this phone for almost a year..no prob so far but a tiny reception prob when i dropped it few months ago n sent to repaie..no prob after tat...soft volume but mind u ..is not a music phone but a very good professional looking clamshell phone...i'm using the pink coloured 1 but i would prefer the white..it has fm radio n bluetooth too..bought it for only rm600 with earphone n 1gb sd card..good bargain but heard tat is facing out..no more in market though

In June 15, 2008, my e690 turns 1 year. Still no defect. Still works like a brand new phone. After a year of using the music player and after 1300+ pix using the vga cam. It still works perfectly. Thank you Samsung! ^^

Hello Jayson, I won't be able to compare it with those models accurately. Since, I do not own or have used any of those models. I have a friend who owns a Nokia
5610 though. Based on experience, the 5610 have a higher volume compared to the E690. But, as for the price the 5610 cost more than 2x compared to the E690.

This phone has a decent volume( I would rate it 8/10 for a single speaker phone). But it is not a music phone like the Nokia 5610.

wow.....a nic fone 2 me...its been abt 1 year m havin dis fone....m vry happy wid dis one...good bluetooth,enough space to store muzik...n all stuff....d most positive point is dat its a vry sleek n strong fone...so ol dose hu r planin 2 buy nw fone...dis is d rite option!!

I think it's wonderful!! But after a year i've been using it, the phone kinda like .... Became unfriendly with me... HahaXD. It shuts itself off when i'm in the middle of send tex messages to someone, or calling someone... And then it ons itself again, but in limited service profile. Hmm... Maybe it's because i dropped my phone too much.. Haha.. XD!!!

I had this phone for almost 7 months now. It's great, only damages are a few dents in the caseing.
The Good:
1) Very nice Bluetooth
2) Sleek design
3) Very nice set of features
4) I really like the how the cover display shows the picture of the caller.
5) Very durable ( i dropped it accidentally more than once, but still works like a charm.
6) The music player is cool.
7) Battery life is very long. I can listen to my mp3s for more than 6 hours without charging, especially while sleeping ^^
8) Its a clam shell.
9) I am now a Samsung fan (goodbye Nokia ~_~)
10) SGH E690 (hehehe)
The Bad:
1) No A2dp
2) Only 1 port for the data cable, charger and headset >.<
3) Cannot customize the mp3s for the txt message alerts only for phone calls.
4) Headset is not balanced in length, one side is shorter.
5) Camera is Vga, @_@
The Ugly
1) Its no longer available in most stores.
2) Most people prefer Nokia.
