I've been using this phone for a few months now and I still love it. Ok, the outerscreen is a bit fragile but the looks sure make up for it :). My only 2 issues are the lack of flash and most important: you can't use your MP3 songs as wake up-call :s. Well back to my old radio then I'm afraid...
Overall: awesome mobile! xD

phone was ok at first. battery lasts 2 or 3 days IF on power save. freezes sometimes when charging shuts off randomly.easy to text.good service.

my battery only lasts a day after i take it out of the charger :(

There are no games?!? Have you looked at your menu well? There are 7 games! In applications, Java world, My games. Enjoy!

The phone is good. The Battery holds 5 days, the camera is good, the poliphony, but there are no games.

Anyone know when this phone comes out in Australia? Can any owners tell me if the phone can Ring AND vibrate synchronised (not vibrate first and then ring)

The camera in this phone takes high quality pictures. The modes such as Sepia, Sketch and others and simply cool. Not found in many phones. Also a sleek thin look.

The Battery life for this phone will last 2 days, at the end of the second nght you will have to recharge it. Charging the phone it self will take an hour at most.
When sending text messages, switching from T9 to Alpha, why does it freeze and close he whole texting window?
does anybody know?

battery life from mine after a full charge was 1 day (you should be frightened, yeah! :p) but I couldn't keep my hands off it so I guess when u're getting normal to using this phone it'll be around 3 - 4 days, if you're just using it only a few times a day to make a call / send messages.
standby time: (samsungmobile.com says 310 hours) has an average (from all the sites I visited) from 220 hours
call-time: (samsungmobile: 5 hours) I'd say 3.5 / 4 hours

Overall this would be an average battery life duration i think.

I'm about to get this phone as an X-mas gift (although got to play with it for 2 days already! ^^) and i must say I'm very satisfied with what I got (or am about to get ;P)
Ok, I'm with some of you guys' comment on the design; it's not a 10/10 but I'm giving it a least an 7.5/10 considered the huge number of more ugly designs AND the fact that i have the indigo blue version of the E790. (the only colour this phone is more pretty than it is weird in my opinion)
As for the functions and usage: I love the buttons, enough space and just fun to press on. (well my former phone was a nokia5100-> damn rubber!!) and the interface is nice too.
The MP3 player is what I wanted it to be: able to shout some volume without earphones and a max capacity of 2Gig and 80Mb is pretty nice. Although where I bought the phone they recommended me not to put in a 2gig card because it could mess up my phone's behaviour. :s kinda feel weird about that and don't want to take her opinion for truth so maybe anyone has comments on this?
+ I like the photo and video ability (of course this could be better but I like the price / quality now)
This phone simply had all the things I wanted! :)
slight flaw might be the battery life duration but it's normal that recording and playing music takes alot of power ;)

The specifics are ok, but the phone is ugly...
It looks cool on pictures, but i didn't like it at all when i saw and held it.
It's light and veeery thin, but it looks too large anyways. The phone looks plastic, i don't know what it's made of but you leave fingerprint marks when you touch it.
The keypad is horrible, very ugly.
I was wondering which phone to get - E570 or E790, the camera of E790 is better, but I didn't like the design at all, so I got the other one. Otherwise the menu ot the 2 phones are identic.

It looks great and its nice an small and it has a good camera... Cant wait for it to come out!

It's now available in France.

It's not so bad for a samsung, but for the photo I prefer my Old Nokia 7710 with 1 Mpx that makes better photos than my Samsung Z710 (3.2 Mpx).

I'm going to buy this phone this friday. I found the only store in Belgium that sells it yay ^^.
I was looking at motorola aswell at first, but i find the menu and design of the E790 much more "business" looking :).
To bad you cant find any review of the phone.
Or maybe anyone here has one? (in english, dutch, deutsch or french if possible :))

hi am just checking samsung phones online for quite a while now. Nothing seems to fit my wants and needs for a phone. Am considering this model to replace my old E760. But the thing is, it doesn't have an FM radio. I'm a music addict and wants to get updated about it. Doesn't stick to one radio station mopst of the time so an MP# is no good for me...
