to on loudspeaker when talking press 'i' twice and
loud speaker options come up. just press option 'yes'
and id does just that

in reply to anontmous. wen you ring someone and when they answer press middle button and it will come up options. press it and go down to menu. press it and go to organiser and go down to voice record. press it and it will record your phone call. hope this helps.

One tip for E840 users-
To save the battery life put the brightness to minimum as it is almost same as the maximum setting[max setting hurts your eyes]

I have been using Samsung E840 past 1 year.
Its stylish and the thinnest metal slider in the world. And you don't need a mirror anymore cuz the screen relects.
Good points:
-Amazing screen cuz Samsung is like the one of the best screen makers in the world.[Viewing angle is awesome]
-Supports ALBUM ART! which is very cool for a non-music phone[it shows the pictures of the album you are playing]
-4 buttons on the top are touch pads
-SMS/texting messages are very easy. i find it better than Nokia
-Watching movies is suitable as it supports fullscreen viewing[screens can also be flipped]
-Very light and thin
-70mb internal memory and MicroSD slot
-Can install JAVA games using hidden codes[i am playing doom rpg and super mario lol]
-Good for business purpose cuz you can view MS office files like .doc,.ppt,etc and also notepad txt files and Acrobat reader pdf files
-Listening to songs through your bluetooth stereo headset
-Can put moving gif files as the wallpaper
-Mobile Tracker can be used
-TV out
-Videos can be recorded at max 352x288 resolution
-Bluetooth connection is very easy and optimized
-PC Software is quite useful and can convert videos also
-Can be synchorised to Windows media player or iTunes[using plugins]
-Removal of SIM card is easy
-Can also record your phone calls using hidden codes
-Can be charged with USB connection also
-Good spec for its price
-Nice and attractive GUI[two colors can be chosen black and white]
Bad points-
-Listening to music is just fine cuz its not a music phone
-Can't use the camera while the slider is closed cuz the camera is hidden
-Instructions are not very clear. Can't understand some of the options
-No flash
-Can't change themes

Hi all,
I have this mobile for 1 year.
Its very stylish,Cam clarity is awesome. Video clarity at the best.It can browse through other mobile's files when bluetooth is connected.
BUT, when it comes to sound its the worst.
When u try to send files to other mobiles,by default it sends to phone memory and not to Card memory. Memory card comes out frequently.Daily we have to charge the mobile
if you are interested in photo or video you can trust this phone otherwise think twice.
