after contacting Samsung, they informed me that this phone has a Samsung proprietory Agere O/S. does anyone have any idea, if a document Viewer (like the Picsel found on other samsung mobiles like the E900 - on other brands as well) can be installed on the E890?

yeah, there is this echo thing..my girlfriend could hear her own voice, hehe..i turned off the VOICE CLARITY on extra settings & the ECHO is gone..hope it helps...by th way, who can turn off the G/E?

this phone have an echo problem... i hope someone can figure out the problem and let us all know. thanks in advace for whom ever that can figure out the problem.!

hey kean or anyone, how can i turn off the "G", "E"?i have done it before in my Z500 but i dnt know how it works here..im sure it will ruin my battery if the GPRS/EDGE is always turned on..tnx

had it 4 1 mth and no echo whatsoever. all system good. the only thing i hate is the short battery life. do they sell a better battery for this phone???

Mannnn.... still thinking should i buy the handset. After listening to opinions from all of you, make me have a second thought of buying this sexy handset.

Is encho problem happened to everyone of you? i am worrying abt this matter.

Echo problem because of the touch screen (I believe) It seems that phones with complicated hardware setups all have this problem... Take the PALM TREO for one. Instead with the TREO phone, call quality is kinda bad..... For now, I suggest we live with the problem and you could try turning the VOICE CLARITY on this feature (not sure whether it will work or not...)

Echo, echo echo
I had this phone for 3 weeks but my friends hear echo on their side. Its very anoying. Also I having hard time with bluetooth...it seems it has a mind of its on..sometimes it works most of the time it does not. Did anyone have a solution to the echo issue? Please let me know.

@F4pr --> i experienced the same thing when receiving a text message. The picture of the sender doesn't come out. Maybe this is exclusive for the call features because everytime i received a call...the pictures comes out (even an mp4 file would do)

Overall, I like the phone. Very trendy and stylish!

This is a nice design phone but the echo can be very annoying. There have not been a prefect phone out there yet.

had this phone for 2 weeks.

anyone experiences sms received without the caller id displayed?

this phone refused to display some of the caller id when receiving text msg.

the samsung technician here said they can't help. it's a new phone and they do not have the latest software to rectify.

samsung????

this phone is great, i love the touch screen
but the only problem with this phone is i am having a echo problem
when the person that is calling me/ talking on dat phone with, they can actually hear their own voice
can someone help me how to fix this problem?

not CIF.resolution not sure but like i said b4 its so so. the sound not loud either. i tested it by the roadside and the sound turn into a whisper. anyway no phone is perfect. i have tried 30+ different models of different cellphone brands but none could satisfy my mobile needs. this corporate people who build handphones know this and they just want to take peoples money so they don't make perfect handphones. again, if there is a perfect phone, down the road something else better will come along and people will grab it.....cheers

had this phone for more than a week now. kinda cool as i always wanted to 'write' on a cellphone. poor thing about this phone is the battery life and the inability to use MP3 sounds as a message tone.the music sound is so so. video pic not that good. this phone would probably last me up til' the end of this year! me eyeing the motorola rokr e6
