when did most people first start noticing problems after buying this phone? ie.. problems with echoing, speakers, touchscreen, etc...? are these common issues? would many of you not recommend this phone?

good luck. I needed mine serviced Samsung USA told me to contact Samsung Malayisa, Samsung Malayisa told me to contact Samsung USA. Then they tell me i have to bring it to a service center in Malayisa. WHen i tell them im in the US so after the runaround for a MONTH from samsung never got anywhere. I will never get a samsung phone again its near impossible to get it fixed.

i bought this phone and i have singular simcard,the isnt reading the contacts on the sim ,he says "empty"

to get ride of ECHO :

Steps to remove echo:
1: Open Dialer
2: Type *#8999*8378#
3: Test Mode menu will appear
4: Select 2.H/W test
5: In H/W test menu select 2.Audio Settings
6: In Audio Settings menu select 1.Normal
7: In Normal menu scroll down and find HFR gain
8: Change the value to 25 (you can try other values if you like to play with it. this is the one that worked for me)
9: Press Save and then Save again. Then Exit the menu. Try and see if it worked.

THIS SOLUTION FOR ME HAS WORKED IN ELIMINATING THE ECHO PROBLEM DURING A CALL IN NORMAL MODE. I HAVE ECHO NOW WHEN I USE THE LOUD SPEAKER BUT FOR ME THAT IS ACCEPTABLE.
DO THIS IN YOUR OWN RISK.
*** you should also write down the original value of HFR gain just in case you need it in the future***

To Vianca: if by speakers you mean the headphones mine work OK. both of them. you probably need a new set.

To Kate: try the voice recorder to see if it records your voice. also try using the hands free set to see if the other person can hear you this way. If the voice recorder records your voice then the phone's mic is ok. but i have no clue where the problem might be if the mic is ok.

this is a very good phone. you cant say this phone sucks if you haven't at least explored one. peace out.

this uses microSD for its external memory suppurt, not MMC. And, there is no sony ericsson headset that is compatible with this phone. stop posting fallacious messages. thanks.

i bought this fon last january and i really like it...one thing that bothers me is the headset. its too bulky...cud anyone recommend another headset that is compatible with this fon but somewhat not big & bulky..thanks...

i got this phone and it is sick.. just need to change the headphones to the ones for sony erricson.. these are to big.. but the features are great and i got a 2G mmc.. u should include one

i got the same problem but in some cases espesially when i got messeges from abroad i see the names but same country it shows No and its make me mad!!! there is some option about vivid messege i am not sure but think ti kind of related

I got my unit 3 months ago almost PhP14K in amount here in Phil., this is really a great multi-functional phone loved the AD2P with it... the sound is crisp & detailed when you will use bluetooth headphones... hey just a cute warning.... the casing is very prone to scratches

i bought this phone since a week.great display ,good sound ,good camera ,good sensitive touch screen ,but still have problem with echo sound although i used the ways to reduce it .
if anybody know the method to get ride off that echo sound ,please send it to my E-mail .
