For Louise,
Listening MP3 willd kill the battery faster than you normally text or call. So, that's why your phone battery gone fast. Also, the battery time (calling and stand-by time) does not reflect the time you use it as MP3.

@ Louise
Battery life is supposed to be quite good. You should do a 3x recycle by letting the battery go completely down, till it switches off and charge it to full.
Can you tell us if you can connect a standard (3.5mm) headphones to this phone? Thanks!

It is already available but no real reviews yet. Guess it's too cheap and 'low level' to be of interest for them snob phone websites... Shame.

Not necessarily, it just means you connect different things to the same connector, which is not such a good thing. It might mean you can't use the headset when charging and vise versa.
It's time for all phones to have a standard 3.5 mm jack for headphones and standard usb socket for data, but they rather use their stupid propriety connectors so you must buy THEIR accessories and stuff :-(

A multi function jack is a single connector socket which can used for connecting different things, like headset, usb, charger, etc.

It's a mp3 player with rds radio with a phone (in that order) - exactly what I want.
Samsung makes excellent music players so I trust this one will be great. Let's hope it has a standard 3.5 headphones jack and a standard usb connection - to make it just p-e-r-f-e-c-t :-)
