Push down on the back of the phone (where the line is) and push foward (the way the arrow points). you have to apply a fair bit of pressure, but the more you open it, the easier it gets.

i've had this phone for a while, but it keeps freezing on me - especially when i try to send texts. I have to continuosly turn the phone on and off and remove the battery, and it still dosn't un freeze. i have to leave it to sit, until it starts working again! i haven't dropped the phone or done anything wrong. please help me 2 fix it!!!!

Had the phone since April 2009, I find the SMS functions frustrating as the touch screen is to sensitive due the the design. Being female I don't have huge finger tips, so men would just find this horrendous to use. I also find when listening the earpeice is very faint.
On the plus the camera is good and using the radio it is clear

i really wanted to have this samsung f480 but i heard negative feed backs about it and made me think twice to buy..wat to you think?im afraid to waste my money.thanks

This is first class... rubbish!!!!!
If you have more than 50 contacts you find ANY!
5 dozen steps to make a phone call or send a SMS!
Touch screen is VERY iffy!
PC connectivity is poor.. When connected it ask dumb questions …connect to memory card that is not in there and won’t budge until you have changed the phone settings?????
Just simply spend a few $ and buy a iPhone rather than this and then buy the iPhone in the end anyway. Just to have 1 phone AND a pile of junk to show in the end!
Wonder if it fly’s well or bounces of walls well?
This is heading for the BIN!!

got this phone as a gift of my brother..
kinda nice.. but i guess the cam of this phone screwed me a lot.. i think it aint no 5 mp cam.. ayt?
but since my brother gave this to me im taking care of it.. thanks bro... another thing... downloading games takes time too...

Hi i have two problems,
1)every time a message comes is stored into my simm and after 20 messages my phone starts to give this message tht memory full, i duno how to select such option tht the message should go directly into phone memory not simm, any advice?????
2)the genuine headset for f480 is annoying, plz suggest any replacement????

hey gusy pls dont use it samsung f480 with in a shortgae of time battery is not working properly if u keep on charging it may work for a day
