Samsung

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2008-07-04 14:44 from 4CxkNeed to say sorry for my previous reply. F488 and F488E seems to be different mobiles. F488 is indeed same as F480. F488E is as state by you a Chinese downgraded version.
Sorry for earlier reply on your message.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2008-07-05 05:26 from LEvxA copy of the Prada, yes and no. Let us state it is a more powerful Prada. The design looks almost the same, but I think there is nothing wrong on keeping something beautiful as the Prada design alive. Technical however, this phone is far above the Prada. Telling this ia a copy can be considered as correct as long we just look the design, inside the small black box there is nothing that smells as copied.

RE - Battery Life

apparently the battery life lasts longer if you turn off the 3G..

Settings

Network Settings

Network Mode

change from automatic to GSM 900/1800

and select.

> In reply to iPhone envy @ 2008-07-04 05:15 from P@YLThere has been a couple of people confused about the mp3 as ring/message tone so here's how you do it:
Go to, 'Settings', 'Phone Profiles', 'Edit', 'Voice Call Ringtone', then select the sounds folder, then pick whichever folder your mp3 are stored in and select the mp3 you want.
It's the same process for messages.

> In reply to Gripe @ 2008-07-04 07:29 from P@YLHello I own the F488. For a touch screen mobile the phone is fast, much faster as the Prada from LG, but slower as a normal Keypad mobile. I also use 8GB mem card ( you lucky I can answer all your questions ) and here the reaction time is very fast. the MP3 player is really good and the screen quality perfect. However as said in the Arena test already, under sunlight you can not read it at all. If you do not want a classic shaped mobile, this is for sure an option. Additional good thing is that the mobile came with desk charger and second battery.
SMS is as on every touch screen mobile slower as on keypad mobiles, but far better than the Prada ( I own the Prada for almost 1 year ). Conclusion can be, yes this is something amazing good, but if you want to sms day and night on high speed..... consider a keypad mobile. I am happy but my sms speed is not that one that will break world records

Someone how owns an f480 or f488, please help me out:

How's the user interface? How's the speed? I've heard that response is really slow... is this true? And If you hook it up with the 8gb micro sd, does it really slow down?

How's texting with the f480/f488? good? bad?

Help!!! I can't stand this anymore.. i want one but it's not here yet! :(
