> In reply to Dat @ 2009-05-04 20:50 from 4TVwhi i work on customer service for o2 so can try a couple of things...to start with does the handset allow t-mobile sim's in it? if it is locked to a certain network you will need it unlocking...if it is on t-mobile try a different sim in it to see if it is something to do with the sim compatablitiy, if your sim is old you may need a new one the handset itself is 3G so its best to have a 3G sim too hope this helps..nicola

this phone draws so much attention because it looks so fancy! i had bought an iphone but hated it cuz the texting so i sold it and bought this one. this has by far been my favorite phone which i used unlocked with tmobile with no problems whatsoever. the keyboard is the best i have ever used because the buttons are well spaced...i dont understand why i ended up with a keyboard with the A in place of the Q and the Z in place of the W lol...i got used to it though. i love how it has two camaras and how the screen is not off-centered when you use the keyboard like many qwerty phones. plus the way the loudspeaker is set up is the best! you can say its "surround sound" because it has a speaker at the top end AND at the bottom end! searching through the music player sucks though. its pretty amazing that i cracked the screen in three different spots and the touchscreen worked just as well as new. im not saying the sensitivity is the best...probably gets 70% of performance compared to the iphone, but still, i sold my iphone to buy this phone. after still loving it for four months with a cracked screen, it finally gave in :(. gotta say im amazed how well it went after experiencing so many tradgedies with this phone. I even dropped it in the water at the log ride in six flags magic mounain! i didnt turn it on until i got home and dried it with a blow drier and worked 100% after that! i tried to buy another but couldnt find any so i bought another iphone:/ by seeing how much i wrote about this phone you can see how much i got attached to it lol

Lovely phone, no hick-ups. I strongly recommend, very fast internet acces. Design is awesome. But lacks functions. Cannot apply or change themes. Else, the music player is enjoyable with good sounds.

> In reply to Claxon @ 2009-04-20 15:42 from 0ZTmThis is not true. Vodafone do not lock their handsets. i have one and it is NOT LOCKED AND NEVER HAS BEEN. In other views i would reccomend this phone , very good gui and general build and design is fantastic.

Beware of the touch screen on this device, it is particularly difficult to activate (frequently it doesn't detect that you've touched it), and it's decidedly lacking in accuracy (and does not work with a stylus). I found the samsung i900 or F490 to be better alternatives (though I find the Apple iPhone to have a much better touchscreen).

> In reply to Dat @ 2009-04-16 02:40 from 4TVEThis is a vodafone branded phone, so it will be locked to work with vodafone sims only. That is probably why your T-Mobile SIM will not work with it. Buying a vodafone sim card should work.

there is a method of installing java on even the manufacturer firmware - explained here : http://www.dreamstrikes.com/ap...g-tocca.html

its much more laborious, however, and its a long and a bit technical process.
