HSDPA 7.2mbps is faster than wifi, plus this phone supports edge. In the right network areas this phone has the cappabilities to be as fast a desktop.

ummmm k guys...wifi guys....
samsung = korean brand...
im pretty sure many people that goes on this site is from some part of america...
blah blah blah iphone copy cat...blah blah...
iphone is powered by samsung internally..
wifi - america is kinda slow with technology...pretty anywhere in asia thats heavily populated has 3G or hspda support...
therefore eliminating wifi or making it kinda useless....i mean 7.2mb hspda is pretty dam fast..sure kicks dial up's ass...neways just remember these phones are meant for cities with updated technology....i mean unless every city in america has full wifi coverage...i dont think its that big of a deal for them phone companies...

but hey is it really a smartphone? have searched for so long already trying to figure out what OS does this one uses. if it's meant for business, then it should have OS to be able to run the Common applications. but if its a multimedia phone. i can understand the lacking of it but can't understand the high price the korean manufacturer will paste on it's tag.

The phone lacks several things to make it a full powerful business phone. These are WLAN; Wifi and TV Output for Presentations. When more details emerge, we shall know about things like Battery Life; Inbuilt Memory Size and Card it can support. However, the Qwerty keypad makes it better than iPhone.

no wifi is a big minus.. but other than that i am very happy with it. Surely it will not be able to satisfy everybody, but its more than enough for me. Better start saving.

@Cezar
According to mobile-review, the UI is derived from windows..infact it has all the good staff from windows. Only time will tell how usefull though.
Cheers!

not really smart, considering it's not a smartphone it does nothing... shame. i can only see that this is an effort of samsung to overcome the real leaders of that kind of form factor. people might get fooled that this one is btter even than iphone, no! it's not. learning about samsung they can't do better with the 5mp camera. neither the touchscreen that wastes soooo much battery as samsung have poor battery backup as far as slimness is concerned. they must equip it with windows in order to compete HTC,SE,Nokia and Iphone.
