i tried downloading mxit onto this phone but it wont work. if i press down load, it says 'unsupported content'. what can i do to fix this?

I had the very same issues. Currently the phone is at Samsung coz it refuses to work. I can switch on but the touch screen does not work.
I do not want this phone back

people in the us keep moaning why buy it locked to network with awfull software in the uk u can get 1 on contract but its unlocked so the networks havnt bugered it up

I enquired about the phone at MTN, the sales rep said that the phones have been recalled due to software issues on the Network, it seems that Samsung has issues with MTN, I have the Samsung D900 which I got with a Vodaom weekend everyday contract, the phone works fine with Vodacom, but once I use an MTN Sim Card the phone has issues, during calls the phone restarts or shuts off or freezes up, this is not the first time I have had problems with Samsung phones, I have the samsung E370 which also has problems on the MTN network, I think Samsung and MTN should get together and discuss the issues. I would rather stick with NOKIA or SonyEricsson.

I love this phone all you people who says its a crap phone you dont know how to work it.my only problem is it doesnt have radio other than that I LOVE IT.CHEERS

First, my friend had this phone and I thought it was amazing. I played around with it and loved the design and the idea of the phone. I fell in love with it.
When I bought it for myself, the first month was great. But after a while, the touch screen started to freeze, the front main-button would stop working sometimes, the camera isn't so good, and it's just a very slow phone.
During a call, you can't touch the screen unless you press the middle button, so I'll try doing it, and it doesn't work. The phone has its moments of freezing and it actually drives me nuts! I've only had the phone for three months now and I'm looking into buy a new phone.
Out of ten, I'd give this phone a 4.5
