Samsung G600 - user opinions and reviews

Samsung

I will wait for the Samsung G800. 5-megapixel sensor, 3x optical zoom and Xenon flash, will also have one microSD slot, USB 2.0, Bluetooth 2.0 and a 2.4" 320 x 240 pixel screen, VGA 30fps video recording. The G800 will kill the Sony K850 :)

good design and camera but it is written nothing about the quality and the resolution of the video mode 5MP sounds good but the video should be at least VGA and that`s the most common problem of the camera-phones

Not related to the phone above:

Phone cameras are still pretty bad, with lots of noise and pictures that are easily blurred while being taken (yes even the sony cybershot range). So why is it that reviewers on this site and users are complaining when phones do not have 30fps video capability. The video feature on a phone is little more than a gimick, it is meant to be for fun (or for when you next see a UFO!). I am all for packing whatever new technology they can into a new phone. On the other hand I am getting tired of carrying around a brick (my last two phones are a N70 and an N73). But when the new features are unlikely to be use to me, and if the geeks think about it carefully - to them... why moan about it. Concentrate on making the phones smaller, better build quality, faster and essentially a BETTER PHONE CALL MAKING MACHINE!

NO touch sensitive buttons on G600! And that's great!

Its an ambient light sensor you douchebag... The sensor detects the ambient light and the phone adjusts the brightness of the screen accordingly, there's no point having the brightness on full when its pitch black outside. It's a battery saving feature (well supposedly... I've got it on my Nokia E65 and the battery still sucks). The G600 is on the o2 uk site with a release date of september. Looks tempting but the samsung menu systems are bloody awkward, symbian me do !

U700 has screen light adjustment but without the sensor I guess.

It would be great if its motion sensor.

A light sensor adjusts the screen so you can see it better.

Everyone is saying the front circle is a light sensor.

Why would you need a light sensor on the front of your phone?

Samsung always presents the best design phone everytime. Starting from its wellknown A100 and A110, the first Samsung's Clamshell type.

This G600 is 2.5G Phone, no possibility to have a videocall, that is what I know for sure since my working area is in the Wireless Telecommunication, that offer 2G, 2.5G, 2.75G, 3 and 3.5G even now for 4G.
The advertisement also not show the possibility to do this videocall, and it only has 1 camera (5MP) in the back of the slide (when u slide it up). The front circle in the upper left only for light sensor, not a camera.

Concerning about the body, that made by plastic, for this G600 not all of the body is made by plastic. some are made by the metal AFAIK from the advertisement.
But remember, the biggest plane right now in the world, Airbus A380 also made by plastic, not the allumunium anymore, that was invented in Netherlands, I knew it for sure. So do not underestimate the plastic material, cause it may have strength more than metal now by NanoTechnology invention. Carbon Fibre, for example, it is also a plastic, because it can be shaped easily (this is the idea of 'plastic' terminology, can be shaped easily during the manufacturing process), but after the process is finished, it will be quite very strong material, as you may find it in many luxury cars or even in jet fighter.

Above all, it is a good phone, with realistic price. Wondering what kind of phone that Samsung will made for 4G, for example in WiMAX network. I prefer to have clamshell phone, thin one, but with very good UI and stable software and more energy reservation scheme.
Samsung, can you provide me with that?
