I believe you need to change the RIBBON or sometimes they call it FLEX cable of your phone. everytime you try to slide up/down your phone the RIBBON/FLEX gets thinner and thinner

> In reply to marius @ 2009-10-02 23:42 from f4iYGood evening Marius,

Thanks for your reply. i spoke to Vodacare in Witbank and they told me that it was "beyond economical repair". Are you suggesting that i try Vodaworld in Midrand? Also, i did not damage the phone, i only used it as a modem, i.e i left it on my desk the whole time. Thanks and regards

> In reply to Tuees @ 2009-09-22 10:54 from PFX$You need to get your phone unlocked in order to use it at your current residence as it is locked to the previous network that you were using before you moved to NewZealand! Hope this helps

Hi,
my handset charger broke, now the phone is "beyond econimical repair". i purchased the G800 in April 2008 on a contract plus i had to pay in R1200(+/- $180.00), a lot of money for a South African. Samsung S. A. says that it becuase of abuse, yet my phone has never been dropped or even scratched. Is there anyone out there with a similar problem?

> In reply to Tuees @ 2009-09-22 10:54 from PFX$Try removing the sim lock from the phones security settings, if that doesn't work, try upgrading your sim to 128 UMT!

Been using this phone for more than over a year now, and I had no problems with it at all !

Bad camera quality : NO ! :)

Display's breaks easily : NO ! :)

If this one is kaputt I'll just buy another :)

I'm very happy with the phone, I only have one problem, if I type a word in a message in normal text, for example (WMT in normal text instead of YOU in predictive text), it will always remember WMT as the primary word. How can I fix this?
