Please do. I have just been in to Vodafone and they now have a demo model in there so naturally I had a play. It is quite big but then again I am used to a D900i. It looks great though and think I am defo going to have this model if it ever gets released.

O2 are now saying that the release date is sometime in December but there is no official date.........yet. Apparently this is because, and I quote, "if the handset is not compatable with the network they just pull it!!!" ????? Not actually upgrading till 6 December 07 so we shall see. Fingers crossed

Kam, can you tell me if the G800 allows you to set your own message tones or if only the default SMS tones can be used? My buying the phone hinges on this feature! Thanks!

I got this yesterday....very good build, feels good in the hand....I did actually upgrade to the K850i after waiting ages for it to be released...but was sooooo disappointed...G800 has a superior build BUT you just can't beat Sony's UI...if Sony had not made the K850i out of such shiney material and it saved pics faster and it stopped freezing I would have kept it....The G800 it a VERY boring fone...it's just no fun!!!! and I must admit the touch screen and the way the screen turns on the 850i was so cool...samsung should have implemented such brill basics into the G800..Oh well, look like we'll have to wait for the G1000 in a couple of moths :OP....Going to send the G800 back....get the N95 with 8GB....more of a complete package :) But I will miss Sony...I like a dirty traitor :OP
Cheers for listening :)

Can anyone who owns one of these phones tell me whether you can set your own SMS alert tones on this phone? Or is it the usual case of default tones only?
