Hi all,
I brought this phone the other day, I’m not sure if I like it or not, the phone was built up (in other reviews) to be the best phone out. I have received it and don’t think the phone is excellent like I expected, I have gone from my Samsung D600 to the G800 and I’m seriously considering going back to the D600.

The main problem is the phone is massive like a brick. If you are on pay as you go then every time you send a text and your credit is shown the phone makes a noise and does this even in silent mode the only way to stop it is if you change to contract. Also when the battery is dead it makes a noise and makes the noise in silent mode.

If anyone has experienced this and knows how to stop please can you post it.

i have a unit since february and haven't experience any problem regarding the unit. thanx for my fren bcoz he told me what to do regarding its pix problem.. correct settings is just needed.. its like ur using a digital camera.

-maybe if i have 1 thought for a problem is.. hmm its not easy to upgrade the firmware.. service center in your area can do the thing. its complicated if you try.

battery life at me is 5days with minimal phone calls and a session of text messaging.

video call is tested and okay..

-oh i have a comment.. my unit, since 1st use.. didnt has any special letters like 'ë'.. is this normal as you buy the unit?

This phone is total crap, lasted alright for the first few months untill the screen started to go dim and eventually started freezing then all the colour bled and was useless, around the same time the fone stopped charging, went into repair, all fixed but the battery wont last a day... and the phone just keeps freezing.. about the only useful thing for this phone will be a doorstop...

This phone is like Shabir Shaik...it has spent more time in hospital than in my prison...I will never buy another Samsung phone. I will stick to the Nokia phones in future. The camera, btw, is not so good in low light conditions.

The Samsung G800 is an amazing phone, my dad was the first to have it i liked it so i bought one too now my sister has one, the cameras exceptional 5MP 3x Optical zoom xenon flash face detection red eye reduction and more, the sounds doesnt go veeery loud but its OK, Has good menu, rare problems great design and good features. The only bad point is that its a bit chunky and doesnt support themes and slider tones.
