I have owned this phone for about half a year. I think the application minimizer is a great function, the large screen is also good although it gets scratched far too easily. The phone is quite large too. The slide doesn't go high enough, so for someone with large fingers it will be very annoying to type with for some time. The battery life is hopeless, and once the bars of battery life are gone the phone automatically closes most applications without any warning. The camera is brilliant and has good zoom. The camera cover is a good idea. The ear piece is loud enough and is clear, but its difficult to clean because its small. Phone - PC connection is tricky to set up but very useful once set up. The phone comes with no games. Unfortunately i cannot use the video calling, video streaming, GPS, and PTT because my service provider doesn't provide it, but the phone does have those applications. The phone seems to be strong so i doubt it will fall apart which is good.

I have plan to updrage my G810 to newer firmware. As i know there are two different ways to upgrade:

- by using Samsung Software Updater

- by using Samsung PC Suite and some other tools from a German sites as showed on GSM forum.

My question is I'm not sure if Samsung Software Updater support for G810 or not? I hear someone say it supports INNOV 8, i900,..so far. Is it true?

And anyone upgraded your phone sucssefully by second way?

Pls help me...THANKS

hello! i'm seriously considering to get this phone. it seems absolutely wonderful! i'm just wondering if this phone can be switched on and used (as in be able to use almost all the functions) even without a sim card, kinda like a nokia phone? sorry, i've never had a samsung phone before, but i've been dying to get one!
