S60 v3.0??? Isnt that a bit outdated or is it merely a typo, given that the N82 is running 3.1 presently and N78 expected in May will be running 3.2.

Also GPRS class 10, kinda slow for countries where only GPRS is available heh.

P.S. More memory would be handy, too. Even though your standard 2GB card would just suffice, because it is a 5MP camera, it uses a lot of memory for each pic so where are you going to keep your music or other files, etc. 130MB is not enough, really for everything that phone is capable of.

This looks like a nice phone. Even though there is a black square on the upper right corner, it seems there is no secondary camera cos it uses a data stream for 3G, not GSM.

Pity.

5MP camera sounds good with 3x optical, especially when I know of the quality of my girlfriends 1.3MP Samsung phone's camera (Z510), better pics on a monitor than my N70!

Wondering how many fps it records video. With Viewty at 120 and Nokia's (+ others that I can't remember)at 30, this would be a definite selling point for me.

As far as batteries go, the mAh is a bit misleading. It depends on how efficient the phone is as to how it performs, regardless of usage or idle. Phone companies usually want to keep it as low as possible because of weight and size issues.

Also, the human eye can only see 256K colours, 16M is just a selling hook. No disrespect to you.

Personally, out of the camera phones Ive seen, the N95s camera for video is exceptional so I will probably get the N96 for the extra memory. Sorry to disappoint any hardcore Samsung fans ;)

- 2G - tri-band, preferred to be quad band - roam anywhere
- Should have had stereo speakers for audio
to smash SE not only in camera but sound as well.
- Screen, 256k could have been 16M with that 5MP camera, probably they want this phone not to use to much battery power.

No secondary camera? My country doesnt have a 3G networks so whatever.

For me? the only thing on this phone i dont like is the tri-band but besides that this phone rocks.

i love samsung phones big fann,but i don't kno y thay don't encorperate voice comands in thair handsets and i think its a cool feature,it makes phones seem more futureistic.

for your info...camera is samsung's weakest point. does G800 make a noise to be herald as one of the best camphone?! nope! samsung compensate their weakness with design. at first glance there's the "oohhs" and "aahhs". but once you've use it, you'll go "eewww"

Yea, i agree with u evan. Samsung phones are very nice in design.. I really love this phone.. I'm planning to save up to buy this once it's out in market. How much will it be? Any ideas?

very foolish assessment! at first g800 camera even without optical zoom is so better than n82! samsung has no rival in camera !

God I can't believe how many tasteless people are out there. Wake up, this is one of the most beautiful phones evaer made. And it has everything that a phone is supposed to. I hate Nokia because of their poor design altough they make very good phones. Samsung's phones are just lovely ( like 90% of them). As soon as it's available I'm buying the G810 and after a few months I will buy the Samsung Soul and I'm not changing them for at least 2 years. I love Samsung! I hate morrons, they know who they are. N fans

optical zoom ROFL
g800 camera doesn't even match n82
so optical zoom is useless unless you don't have a camera better than n82(doesn't even need optical zoom that phone)
just an useless thing

I think not. Infact I don't know of any other 5mp
camera phone with 3x Optical Zoom (Apart from the G800 that is)
This will knock the Nokia's in the shade...
Samsung spent the last few years beating SE & Motorola. Now there after Nokia. this time next year Samsung will be No1

whats the delay? its got the same specs as N95 which has been out years ago. A camera that is not as good as n95 is there something hard or difficult that this phone does that no other phone can? is that the delay. haha. by the time this phone is released its going to be so old. Samsung = Slow.
