hello! i'm seriously considering to get this phone. it seems absolutely wonderful! i'm just wondering if this phone can be switched on and used (as in be able to use almost all the functions) even without a sim card, kinda like a nokia phone? sorry, i've never had a samsung phone before, but i've been dying to get one!

I purchased the G810 with expectation that i would have GPS functionality, to my surprise no GPS. Who can assist to get this resolved.

i have used this phone for one year... not a vey long journey.. but i love this phone especially the camera... it is better than the viewty that i own too..

however i am still searching antivirus software for this phone... is there any idea?? i love to surf internet n chatting with this phone...

i got this phone before 1 week its great phone from samsung....but......
i'm not able to download the msn or facebook mobile, i dont know why?

when the battery get full and I remove the charge quickly and put it back, its start to charge again for long time

Hi all. How use front cam? Why i installed java games, my ph is not recognised? Or the screen size java games is not match? One of weakness is, main speaker and ear piece is at one place. Is not powerfull when i playing my song. But at least g810 is great. Bravo..

how do know that the battery is now full. coz when i remove the charger and put it back on the phone starts charging again. how long is the battery supposed to last?

Comparing the two is a bit fo a toss up really, as spec-wise both phones are pretty close to each other. It depends on what is more important to you as to which one you get. The G810 has a high resolution camera and a better flash unit. However, the i550w has a candybar form-factor, which some people prefer over a sliders like the G810. If the camera is more important to you, then I'd get the G810. However, if you like candybars more, then I'd get the i550w.

I doubt the G810 would survive a trip through a washing machine - it's not "ruggedized" in any way. However, I've never done that to mine. So, I can't say for sure.

As for using Wifi for chat: Yes, sure it can do that, with the right software.

hi bill,

right now im comparing between samsung i550w and g810, after reading some informations about them, i've decided to buy g810. i think g810 is the best product. what do you think, bill? but im going to buy it in 3 months later after earning much money:)

bill are you a german? i cant understand the language in that site that you linked in the forum.. and when i try to download the firmware in that site it looks like i need to register to them.. how can i register when i can't understand know their language *sigh*

Hi All. I wanna ask about the keypad of this phone. Is it good? I'm a user of LG Ke970 and the keypad is really bad, i used to mis type between keypad 3 & Keypad endcall. The keypad shape between LG Shine n Samsung G810 is quite similar. Can u give me some information about it. Thks alot.
