guys....i suggest the xperia u instead of this..
800mhz vs 1Ghz processor on the u.
same gpu. BETTER camera as the camera is from sony...they specialize in cameras....not that the ace has a bad one...just the sony ones are better.
usb ON THE GO! pendrives and keyboards and gamepads on your phone!... slightly smaller but much better and sharper screen.....looks much sexier than ace 2... trust me i got mine... worth every penny...

> In reply to WTF @ 2012-05-23 07:58 from PSL6 - click to readwell....I'm not against the sony ericsson but one should not stick to single phone....we have to move on as the technology moves ahead rather then stickin' to the old school mobiles....it is better to adapt new things.... And if u r that ICS fan then u should buy galaxy s3 it is already hitting the market...

> In reply to WTF @ 2012-05-23 06:33 from PSL6 - click to readfor your kind information, this handset is also getting ICS update in Q3, 2012 with other samsung handsets. and who use panorama mode or usb on the go a lot? but panorama mode can be also used in this handset by just downloading a camera app from play store, but it is true that there is no hdmi but are you going plug in this handset with your tv everytime? and dual core cpu, 768mb RAM, 4gb storage, upto 32gb card slot and Bluetooth 3.0 is better for everyone.

I'm not in the favour of sony xperia v....because Its chubby...and out of date mobile....I guess the best in business is now the ace 2...it will top the popularity charts....and with mid range dual core performance it will beat htc one v and specially xperia v...and M not in the favour of hdmi port....what do we suppose to do with this!!! For tv connection....I guess I can live without this shitty feature rather then livin' without the dual core hardware

After more than 6 months of waiting for the right phone, I have finalized Ace 2. Bring it to India please. Xperia U looks gorgeous but it loses on SD card slot, battery backup, and memory. All very important for me. Xperia P can fight against Galaxy S Advance. Neo V is a good choice but it's an year old model and has single core CPU.

22May-2012,by Victor H.
Here are a couple of mid-range smartphones we’re genuinely extremely excited about - the Samsung Galaxy Beam and the Samsung Galaxy Ace 2. The Galaxy Beam and Ace 2 release date has finally been confirmed for this quarter, and the two handsets will feature the ST-Ericsson NovaThor ModAp U8500 dual-core chip.
“Today we can confirm that two more Samsung GALAXY Android-powered smartphones – the GALAXY Beam and GALAXY Ace 2 – will be powered by NovaThor ModAp platforms,” said Marc Cetto, senior vice president of smartphone and tablet solutions for ST-Ericsson. “In February, we announced that the Samsung GALAXY S Advance was the first smartphone by Samsung to leverage the U8500 platform. And thanks to the U8500’s versatility and maturity, Samsung was able to bring other devices based on the same platform to market quickly.”
Is your head already spinning by that name? It’s not the chip, though, that makes these phones so interesting - it’s the combination of features and price.
The Samsung Galaxy Beam is expected to be the first phone with a built-in pico projector to become massively available. It’s actually the successor to the original Galaxy Beam I8520, released two years ago, but that handset arrived in very limited markets, and with Android now more matured as a system, and with much wider reach, the new Galaxy Beam truly stands out among the rest. The pico projector is 15 lumens bright, and the phone is just 0.47 inches (12.5mm) thick.
The Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 on the other hand is the successor to the very popular Galaxy Ace, and with a larger, 3.8-inch WVGA screen, a dual-core processor and the right price, it has all the possible ingredients of another successful device for Samsung. The handset actually just went on sale today in the UK, so it should arrive to other markets shortly after.
On the hardware side of things, this is definitely good news for struggling ST-Ericsson. The company’s NovaThor U8500 chip is used in the Sony Xperia P and U as well. For the technically inclined, the U8500 is a 45nm dual-core chip with two Cortex A9 cores and a Mali-400 MP1 graphical unit.
