i dont know man........touchwiz sucks in front of sense and timescape...i still like SE LwW for its value for money.
asian, 23 May 2012well....I'm not against the sony ericsson but one should not stick to single phone....we have ... moreyes boss but if u get ICS in a mid range mobile its better rt why should be go for high end, If Ace 2 is released in india for 17 or 18k then i can say that its good mid range mobile but if its Released in 21 or more then better buy an High end mobile rt like S2 which is about 26k in india
WTF, 23 May 2012Wat do u think about the price which is 20k or more and ICS update and the crappy UIwell....I'm not against the sony ericsson but one should not stick to single phone....we have to move on as the technology moves ahead rather then stickin' to the old school mobiles....it is better to adapt new things.... And if u r that ICS fan then u should buy galaxy s3 it is already hitting the market...
asian, 23 May 2012hey...!! Is there any guy from India here??? I want to ask that whether the ace 2 has been rel... moreHI...Ace 2 not yet released in India.BUt its been available in europe country such as in german...........I am going to order from there
WTF, 23 May 2012Are u joking Neo v is the best it has ICS Update does ACe 2 has it? USB On-the-go support do... morefor your kind information, this handset is also getting ICS update in Q3, 2012 with other samsung handsets. and who use panorama mode or usb on the go a lot? but panorama mode can be also used in this handset by just downloading a camera app from play store, but it is true that there is no hdmi but are you going plug in this handset with your tv everytime? and dual core cpu, 768mb RAM, 4gb storage, upto 32gb card slot and Bluetooth 3.0 is better for everyone.
asian, 23 May 2012I'm not in the favour of sony xperia v....because Its chubby...and out of date mobile....I gue... moreWat do u think about the price which is 20k or more and ICS update and the crappy UI
Asha, 22 May 2012I'm fed up of waiting for this phone. By the time it get released everybody will lose interest. :(sure....pal....they r making us wait ...I dunno WTF is their problem??? Hopefully it will be released in about one month!!!!
hey...!! Is there any guy from India here??? I want to ask that whether the ace 2 has been released commercially in india or not??? I mean available in market or not?? It's already realeased in uk....I dunno when they will release in pakistan....I guess next century or if we r lucky (in the after life)
and the ICS version of android have some problems in playin' flash videos.....It plays them but with some buffering problems otherwise its okay...and I think ICS version still have some room for improvement where as gingerbread is fully functional so wait till the improved version of ics comes out or wait more for the jelly bean 2 come out!!!!
I'm not in the favour of sony xperia v....because Its chubby...and out of date mobile....I guess the best in business is now the ace 2...it will top the popularity charts....and with mid range dual core performance it will beat htc one v and specially xperia v...and M not in the favour of hdmi port....what do we suppose to do with this!!! For tv connection....I guess I can live without this shitty feature rather then livin' without the dual core hardware
After more than 6 months of waiting for the right phone, I have finalized Ace 2. Bring it to India please. Xperia U looks gorgeous but it loses on SD card slot, battery backup, and memory. All very important for me. Xperia P can fight against Galaxy S Advance. Neo V is a good choice but it's an year old model and has single core CPU.
Android_User_Royally, 22 May 2012some other peoples peoples must be joking, this is the best phone in this price range, because... moreAre u joking Neo v is the best it has ICS Update does ACe 2 has it?
USB On-the-go support does ACE 2 has it ?
3D sweep panorama does ACE 2 has it?
Adobe Flash does Ace 2 has it ?
HDMI port does Ace 2 has it ?
No then why we need to pay 20k for this set huh.. because its daul core.
I guess i can live with out dual core
All photos make wich ace 2 camera. Language... gibberish)))

Here are a couple of mid-range smartphones we’re genuinely extremely excited about - the Samsung Galaxy Beam and the Samsung Galaxy Ace 2. The Galaxy Beam and Ace 2 release date has finally been confirmed for this quarter, and the two handsets will feature the ST-Ericsson NovaThor ModAp U8500 dual-core chip.
“Today we can confirm that two more Samsung GALAXY Android-powered smartphones – the GALAXY Beam and GALAXY Ace 2 – will be powered by NovaThor ModAp platforms,” said Marc Cetto, senior vice president of smartphone and tablet solutions for ST-Ericsson. “In February, we announced that the Samsung GALAXY S Advance was the first smartphone by Samsung to leverage the U8500 platform. And thanks to the U8500’s versatility and maturity, Samsung was able to bring other devices based on the same platform to market quickly.”
Is your head already spinning by that name? It’s not the chip, though, that makes these phones so interesting - it’s the combination of features and price.
The Samsung Galaxy Beam is expected to be the first phone with a built-in pico projector to become massively available. It’s actually the successor to the original Galaxy Beam I8520, released two years ago, but that handset arrived in very limited markets, and with Android now more matured as a system, and with much wider reach, the new Galaxy Beam truly stands out among the rest. The pico projector is 15 lumens bright, and the phone is just 0.47 inches (12.5mm) thick.
The Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 on the other hand is the successor to the very popular Galaxy Ace, and with a larger, 3.8-inch WVGA screen, a dual-core processor and the right price, it has all the possible ingredients of another successful device for Samsung. The handset actually just went on sale today in the UK, so it should arrive to other markets shortly after.
On the hardware side of things, this is definitely good news for struggling ST-Ericsson. The company’s NovaThor U8500 chip is used in the Sony Xperia P and U as well. For the technically inclined, the U8500 is a 45nm dual-core chip with two Cortex A9 cores and a Mali-400 MP1 graphical unit.
The best smartphone platform

nikka, 22 May 2012is this available in the Philippines??Not yet. We have to wait a little more before this one gets it's Philippines debut.
I'm more interested at the camera. It seems like this one competes with the best on the 5MP category. Very nice. And the CPU and GPU combo makes this one above average. And oh, the screen size and the technology used(PLS TFT) is cool, considering the good angles. And you get it for only £250+. I say this is the best choice for those who want to experience Android for the first time.
