Been Using this phone for 3 months now and i liked it,
No issues so far and battery life is unexpectedly good given the slim waistline.
If there is one flaw that i can find on this phone is probably the camera when using it at low light, the images being captured tends to be pixelated despite making the necessary adjustments on the camera setting.
BUT OVERALL ITS WORTHY OF ITS PRICE!!!!
Best phone i ever had, to who ever want to buy this phone, just buy it,good phone,im not being sammy fan club
Using it from 2 Days , This phone is king
No one phone can beat this .
Rony, 10 Dec 2014He he :) there's nothing unique exactly. Your prose is touch, ui, slim pocket friendly :) but ... moreIt is my opinion that Samsung managed to set higher expectations with the Alpha phone. Coming from Htc and IPhone I would say that the Alpha phone takes the best from both worlds.
You have a slim and light device (lighter and slimmer compared to iPhone 6 and Htc One directly) with metal frame exposed and offering a very intuitive interface to any user.
Samsung's approach to offer an actual pocketable phone with a premium look and feel is definitely not unique in this industry, however it is definitely appreciated by users like me, used to lag free UI like the one on Apple phones and with the freedom offered by Android devices.
This is my view on the product.

Your prose is touch, ui, slim pocket friendly :) but you talking like it's a revolutionary product of smartphones. This phone is much high price to compare its specifications. Don't fool people. Be honest...
Alpha is clearly the new king. This is what I concluded after using the phone for one week.
I challenge any iPhone/Htc user to give it a try as from my experience there is nothing on the market like it.
- fast, no lag, great UI;
- light, slim, fits in your pocket, one hand navigation possible;
- great touchscreen, really great. (Better than the one on Htc ONE M8, though lower display resolution. Human eye could not notice the difference anyway).
- can be used with heavy gloves, smart-stay feature really comes in hand when browsing/reading etc.
- only 32GB variant;
- average battery life, a little better compared to iPhone. !!!With Samsung ultra saving mode enabled I experienced 1 whole day with only 17% battery (Whatsapp always on).
- unnecessary heartrate sensor. Used it once to show off to my friends (almost all apple fans).
With that being said you should really grab an Alpha! It's a no brainer that this phone will not let you down.
Over and out! 'Really' Man
I have bought Samsung Galaxy Alpha week ago and found battery life satisfactory, but I encountered network fluctuations often. Therefore, it will be a excellent product if the company can update the software to eliminate the network fluctuation.
Someone Plz tell me i Should put Screen Guard on it or not ?
i had Samsung Wave 2 and Moto G before and i hadnot put Screen guard on it and there was no problem
Finally i bought Galaxy Alpha Gold
very much satisfied

Even Battery life is Good

bukit1, 09 Dec 2014Samsung and android has come a long way!!
Build Quality, Size, processor speed, repla... moreI am totally satisfied with the new galaxy alpha.. its really awesome!the premium looks that I get with this phone is really outstanding!
it has 1.8 ghz octane core which is extremely ultrafast...
from a long time I just got bored with plastic model of phones but when I bought this alpha ... It really changed my views..
its ultrafast performance never let me to waithe a few seconds also for an application to open...
its really an awesome phone....
I experienced on this phone that really camera doesn't depends on mega pixel but the quality as alpha refers a 12 mega pixel camera with uhd 4k recording...
The camera shows its best performance whether in dim light or extreme light..
The photos it captures is crystal clear..!
its super amoled display is very soft to touch and gives a very nice user interface... which neglects the resolution as alpha has a resolution of 720*1280 pixels...
The only missing thing is here that it is not water resistant or dust resistant..
but rea I like this phone!

Build Quality, Size, processor speed, repla... moreWhich one u have ? Gold, white or black.
I m about to buy this phone.
U can change colours (saturation)
On settings - Display - Display mode
If u don't like saturated , There are settings like Aduptive display , Basic mode etc.
But I like saturated default colours .
If u don't like large phones than u will not prefer iphn 6 too ,
Its 4.7 but having too much bezzel and it makes phone nearly same as Galaxy s5
Samsung and android has come a long way!!
Build Quality, Size, processor speed, replaceable battery.
Screen, no memory card option.
I bought this phone 2 Months ago, and the only reason i bought it was because the Iphone 6 was not released at the time. My old phone died in a freak accident the night before so next morning i went to the shop to get a new one.
When i first got it i though i would use it for a week and then change to the iphone 6 which was going to be released a week later. One of the reasons for wanting an iphone 6 was that my old now dead (R.I.P) phone was an iphone 5S and i have been using iphone for a few years now.
The Size of the phone was important to me as i don't like to carry around a huge size phone. I was looking for something that would fit right in my jeans pocket and also one handed operation was a complete must. I looked at the Samsung Note and also the Sony Xperia before choosing the Galaxy Alpha but the size of these devises already turned me off.
It took me a day or two to get used to the new interface and also setup the phone to my needs, still i didn't really care about the phone because i though it was only going to be used for about a week until IP6 got released. During that week i learned that Android as a operating system has come a long way since i used it last time (Version 2.2). I also learned that there is a lot of functions that Iphone cant do that Android can.
The Hardware itself felt amazing, my last Samsung was a galaxy 2 but i never liked the whole plastic feel of those Samsung's...they just looked and felt cheap in my opinion.
Well, that has changed...The Galaxy Alpha is really made with care and it shows in the right places. Just holding it makes you wonder how they managed to make it so damn slim!! I know it is just an aluminium frame but what a difference that frame makes for the whole overall experience. The phone now feels and looks premium.
Another thing i prefer now over the Iphone is the option to change battery. I bought a spare and keep it in my car or my bag, and even though i only had to use it a few times it is still such a lifesaver to pop the back and change battery and have a fully charged phone in less than 30 seconds. With my Iphone i always had to carry the damn charger around with me. Keep in mind though that battery life on normal days is more than enough, it last longer than my 9 month old Iphone 5s (R.I.P) did and i consider myself a moderate user.
One thing i never liked about Android was always the lagging operating system, but on the Alpha that is a thing of the past. The phone is really really fast at all times and has yet to freeze (Do they still do that??) or hang on me. I normally keep whatsapp, mail app, message app, a game or two open in the background and there is absolutely no lag or hick-ups...
The only downside would be the screen or more specific the colors on the screen. I know everybody complains about the resolution but once you use this thing you will quickly notice that the resolution is fine. It's not grainy or anything like i have read in other posts. The problem for me is more the colors, they are very full on in your face kind colors where i prefer the more "dull" colors as on the Iphone.
After having used this phone for 2 months now i have no desire to get the new Iphone 6, the Alpha does the job flawlessly and now i am kinda happy to have a different phone instead of the Iphone 6 which everybody seems to use now.
Good job Samsung.
nabaz, 08 Dec 2014I used both phones iPhone 6 and galaxy alpha....The alpha is the king. Why do you prefer Alpha? Is there any one thing that stands out or just generally.
