While Samsung has touchwiz on top of android so it takes time for them to send out updates for individual phones like the alpha.
Anonymous, 21 Apr 2016Every single phone you've listed is from mid 2015 or much later. Galaxy Alpha is from August 2... morehay realistic guy,I've both the ph and I know better than youyou.Which one from which year is very known to me.My one and only point is that Moto givesgives very quick update. And for you I've one thing--please look at moto g2,do you know which year it is form??? I think you don't,if you know this you shouldn't do this type of false statement.I give you some example and if you really want to know then plz correct yor falsefalse statement,Moto g2 and moto x or x2 are from 2014 and these sets are running on either 6.0 or 6.0.1.Please have a massive survey and then u must correct yourself.

Galaxy Alpha is from August 2014. Like I said, you're being unrealistic. Galaxy Alpha will receive the update and as always, it will be more stable than any Motorola phone.
And one thing,Moto X style, moto x play, moto x,moto x2,moto g3,moto g turbo and many other moto handset on Android 6.0 or 6.0.1 in India and others regions also.
Moto gets update very second and quick after Google's Nexus devices.
Moto is best then Alpha according to price.

Which ones have version 6 yet... moreBro,plz correct your stats cz I also have moto x play which is updated to 6.0.1 from last 1.5 month and my friends's moto g2 on android M for last 15 days or so.Anything else you want to know about moto??
and one thing,I'm from india, now plz see the moto india list or survey to public.

Which ones have version 6 yet? Exactly. Galaxy Alpha was released in August 2014. It will receive the update. The current version is pretty stable, and I expect the next version to also be stable. That's far more important than getting it right away. The 5% statistic is not meaningless, it reflects the great trouble companies are having with making the OS stable for their specific devices. It's a huge mess.

Samsung will release this update later for Galaxy Alpha as well.
Still missing further update from Android 5.0.2 to next version.I'm from india and this update is present from last 8-10 months.Don't buy samsung setset. If you buy 40k+ phone from samsung, then its fair. But don't buy other handset like Alpha!!
raj chauhan, 17 Apr 2016Can i use memory card in alpha..? Read the specs. It's easy.

He was referring to the high capacity battery which was only sold in a few countries for a short time and can't be bought anywhere anymore since ages ago. Not the normal one.
Anonymous, 28 Mar 2016A7 is just a mid range device while alpha is not !A7 with snapdragon cpu is indeed midrange device (though its 64bit) But exynos version of A7 have same cpu + gpu as galaxy alpha so exynos version is not mid range device
BUT i prefer Alpha because of its perfect size+design and battery is removeable
Samsung pushed a couple of days ago a 450MB update for my SM-G850M. It's still running Lollipop 5.02, but now it includes Smart Manager and brought in tow security patches up to April (2016-04-02). I believe the former security patch was dated November 2015.
MOHAMMAD AKIL, 22 Mar 2016hi i am not happy to write this message. i like this phone, and bought it. but after 6 month ... moreI am having the exact same problem, nice to know I am not losing my mind.! lol
