Just got this phone for slightly over a day. Battery life pretty decent. With moderate usage should last 2 days..I am still monitoring. So far am glad i got this phone. Only feedback I can give is, the speaker location. Would love to have it in front or at the side versus the back. Once u put the phone on its back, it muffle the speaker.
I see a lot of comments that this phablet is amazing but how come the ratings are not that good?

LOLOY, 01 Aug 2013Gud pm po. May i check if Galaxy Mega has the capability for document editing document.... I p... moreYes, you can. You can download a document viewer and editor app in Google Play Store.
i used tab for last one year but when i heared about mega i m very glad to have it....really it is uncomperable.....
Funguss, 04 Aug 2013I agree with you on every point! Glad you like the Mega. Samsung has another winner here.
I... moreWhile the kids who don't know any better categorize it as "mid-range", grown-ups categorize it as a no-nonsense, powerful phone for sensible people. Idiots who watch their phone's screen a couple of centimeters away from it will tell you "we can see pixelation", while sensible people realize that the 720p screen combined with that amount of GPU and CPU power = more than adequate performance.
The panel quality is the best of any TFT LCD panel in any phone. Its advantage compared to any available IPS panel is in color accuracy (resulting in a more natural look). Not to mention that any AMOLED screen is very far behind, in accuracy. The kids sure love the idiotic "vibrant" look, though. They love the phones that are marketed to them, and they can stay with that and be happy.
The sound quality is the best. We like to hear things properly. The kids can continue to be satisfied with the horribly distorted sound coming out of their "high-end" phones.

I was surprised how good it really is despite being categorised as mid range. Sure performs better than that.
Omg this mobile is amazing!
Just bought mine today,i upgraded from Galaxy Note, and this is simply amazing! Android 4.2 is amazing,
Mobile is lightweight really
Fits in Pocket very easily
Texting is extremely fast and easy due to the large screen, much better than Note
Processor is fast, very responsive and efficient
Screen size will blow you awaw! You will love watching movies at it,and it's no way less than AMOLED
Bottom Line:Buy it alreadY!!!!

Anonymous, 02 Aug 2013Hi guys, I'm about to buy a smartphone, I'm not sure to buy Galaxy Mega 6.3 or Galaxy Note 2,... moreBoth phones have the same specs but there differences are one,the Note II has an integrated stylus and two, the Mega 6.3 has a larger screen and a huger battery, so if you want more portability and a stylus, go for the Note II but, if you want a mid-ranged phone with affordability go for the Mega 6.3
Anonymous, 02 Aug 2013Hi guys,
I'm about to buy a smartphone, I'm not sure to buy Galaxy Mega 6.3 or Galaxy Note 2,... moreFirst of all, read the reviews, seriously. The main question is do you want a 6.3 inch screen or a 5.55 inch screen? Both don't have Gorilla Glass, only "scratch resistant" glass which is not really so resistant, so you have to be careful.
Galaxy Mega 6.3 has the best sound of any Galaxy phone. It's the most powerful and distortion-free. Note 2 has good sound. Both are also very good for headphones listening.
Galaxy Mega 6.3 also has that interface which flips in landscape mode like a tablet. Note 2 doesn't have that.
The Mega 6.3 screen is LCD, Note 2 screen is AMOLED, both are excellent and the Mega's screen has an advantage of more natural colors. Note 2's screen has the inherently deeper black, but the new LCD is so good that the dark black tone grayness is negligible. White is better, it causes less eye strain than the AMOLED screen, and it's generally brighter, especially in bright/sun light.
Build quality of both is good.
And various other more minor differences.
I'm about to buy a smartphone, I'm not sure to buy Galaxy Mega 6.3 or Galaxy Note 2, what do you recommend and why?
I bought this phone from ebay, very impressive. The price is not that high compared to S4. Worth every penny. I'm satisfied. :)
Gud pm po. May i check if Galaxy Mega has the capability for document editing document.... I planned on buying the unit but I am confused if it can do editing documents as it is not reflected in the specification...Please enlighten me on this matter... thanks
HashR10, 31 Jul 2013You are right I completely agree with you... I just bought mega and I also have note 2 though ... moreI find the Mega's display to be more neutral and pleasant compared to amoled which tends to exaggerate colors and whites which turn out weird.
It's also also doesn't strain my eyes after prolonged reading.
Funguss, 31 Jul 2013Do u actually mean size does matter? Haha... Anyway, am glad you like it too. I reckon mos... moreYou are right I completely agree with you...
