that many users are complaining regarding its battery
.Also, can we play flashvideo(.flv) files in offline mode on this phone? Is there any way to play flash content on this phone? If we compare this phone to
Nokia E5 which would be better? Please do reply.
I got samsung galaxy mini yesterday. I had x10 mini and several Nokia symbian phones before. If you're up to use your phone for internet usage and multimedia Samsung mini may suited choice. In my opinion it's better than Sony Ericsson x10 mini in term of experience. X10 only excel in camera.
-good built quality
-good music sound quality with good pair of headphones
-good call quality, better than Nokia e63
-choices for text input
-no notifications light for incoming messages or missed calls
Those above are significant pros and cons i experience compare to previous phones i had. Generally i recommend this phone to those who are looking for affordable android phone.
The phone is good. But. I should comment in terms of battery life. When you are playing games or using internet, the battery just take 10 hours. Even i'm using juice defender. Hate it.
screen type is not TFT,
it is TN type (like CSTN or DSTN)
not good for your eyes

These apps will do most any restricted changes to your android system like tweaks setting, override system like tuning CPU clock or accessing file system. It is safe to experiment these tools with precaution - that's why we had to ROOT ANDROID so we can make any changes to the whole system.
a2sdgui - Same as Apps2SD which manage/move apps from internal memory to SD card (SD Ext partition). Beware of moving your apps might be failed for some programs.
Superuser - Manage apps to access protected areas on android system. It has quick boot and ROM manager for backups and recovery image. This utility are important to access permission for a future updates.
Root Explorer - Same like File Manager but has priority to access protected file system. Root Explorer can access system folder, database viewer, text editor, search, mount, archives, permissions or etc.

I dont how exactly to use a2sdgui,i'm being careful with superuser too(both came preinstalled with the rom)...also downloaded rootexplorer, but dunno how to use it. will wait i need to read more. can u shed some light on a2sdgui,superuser and rootexplorer?

First of all to flashing CM7 from SD card you've to rooted your phone as it required a permission to perform updating. I must say rooting your phone are absolutely void your phone warranty. Even though you're follow the procedure with proper step by step instruction but the risk of bricking your phone is unavoidable in case of somethings wrong happened. However if you insist to do that, you can find Galaxy Mini ROMs download links from XDA forum as below (Gingerbread 2.3.3/2.3.4 to Cyanogenmod 7.1.0):
Again i'm telling you it's not recommend to flashing your android with custom firmware that require a good reason and support to do so. CM7 flash ROM are not really 100% good working as it has a few bugs issue that still on testing purpose such as WiFi MAC Address and iP related problem. I've only done with CM7 because i need to experiment android phone (with insured coverage by my friend mobile store) to adjusting cpu ARMV6 600Mhz up to 800Mhz (overclocked). I do also testing a GPS Tracking Location, USB tethering and VOIP/SIP internet calling over 3g network (same like SIPgate from Google). Not to mention installing a few apps like SPB Shell 3D Home launcher. Still all my testing works fine unless the flaws came from others device that need to be initialized thoroughly.

I might say this is the last time i'm writing my opinion since i've already replaced my old Galaxy mini to Galaxy S2 i9100 about 3 days ago, so bye-bye to Galaxy mini... I've no interest to this post anymore. If you have any question regarding to Android OS or Computer system (windows & linux-Ubuntu) just send email to firstname.lastname@example.org . I'll try to answer or solved your problem based on my knowledge.
@Roofrider - Glad to hearing that you're already upgrades to Gingerbread (GB) at last. Now you've feel the different between Froyo and Gingerbread right? You'll noticed a different icon, new keyboard design with good copy/paste function, fast animation, good user interface and most great improvement is the better power management.
How possibly GB can save the battery? Well, it closes the running background apps as necessary or idled the programs so it's not consumes or waste the power battery. It also give an accurate battery overview of the power usage by each component. That's why i've always advice to Froyo user to kill active background apps, Only switch ON your 3G, WiFi & bluetooth by demand (plain and simple).
About your question which you've the home launchers same as Froyo, I've to say that my GB launcher are totally different from the Froyo Home launcher. You can see the different between your GB and CyanogenMod by watch the YouTube as below:
Fyi i'm upgrade to GB 2.3.4 with CyanogenMod 7.1.0 (opensource / custom ROM) while you're upgrading GB 2.3.4 with Samfirmware Stock ROM. Both version are still the same based on Linux kernel instruction codes, however CyanogenMod has more capability to operate wide functional since it's modified programmed from the original Android source code by others programmer. The android OS are fundementally quite similar to Linux Open Source which are widely reprogramming the source code based on Debian/Ubuntu, Fedora, Slackware and many more which had different variant on their Graphical User Interface (GUI). Hope you understand what i mean, Thanx to all. Peace!!
