AnonD-3346, 16 Dec 2011My Samsung Galaxy S II LTE (Rogers enhanced edition) is far better. Its specs are basically a ... moreyour phone has 4.3 inch screen..not 4.5 so practically you own an inferior phone...does that make you an inferior person? i leave that up to fellow readers to decide
chiggy, 15 Dec 2011can someone tell my why this phone shows "LTE 700 (region specific)" in the specs...... moreYes, LTE is only on Verizon version. However, as this is a global site, they refer to US as a region, which it clearly is, and not the center of the universe, as some like to believe.
Think of it this way - if you were to read about some phone that only has LTE on one specific Japanese carrier, then "region specific" would suddenly make more sense, no? :)
My Samsung Galaxy S II LTE (Rogers enhanced edition) is far better. Its specs are basically a Galaxy II S LTE HD. Dual 1.5GHZ, 1850 mAh battery, 4.5" screen, 1GB ram, 8MP rear w/flash, 2MP front, GSM/GPRS/EDGE/UMTS/HSPA+/HSUPA/and Dual band LTE (700mhz and AWS1700 for early North American adopters). EVERYTHING on my phone is better, except the .15" less screen size (Big deal) and the Android 2.3 vs. 3. But I'm sure an upgrade will be released to deal with this.
The problem with the Galaxy S II is SOOOO many editions have been launched all with different specs based on the providers. My phone is more or less the exact same thing as a Galaxy S II LTE HD but with extra radio bands and 0.15" less of screen (big deal, were already at 4.5", c'mon).
This phone is just hype because of the Nexus name. Get the Rogers LTE Galaxy S II if your in Canada, or the LTE GALAXY S II HD if your international. I think the US has something similar to the Rogers edition.
Just my two cents, thanks for listening.
got it for $175 through true talk with promo code $75vzw and sale price
