Anonymous, 09 Nov 2011Physical qwerty could have been easily fitted into this phone and thus making it by far the be... moreI for one MUCH rather use the onscreen keyboard, swype or better yet, just talk to your phone. I've had excellent success with voice input and I expect the SGN to be even better! I have had two phones with a phsycal keyboard adn I will never buy a phone with a physical keyboard again.
Physical qwerty could have been easily fitted into this phone and thus making it by far the best. Maybe little thicker but who cares? But sadly Samsung wanted to fail.
Why there is so little physical qwerty keyboards on cell phones these days? It was the single best improvement when I went fron Nokia 3650 to Nokia E70. And after that I have had E90 and N900, both with qwertys.
Now, It's clear Droid Razr perform faster than the Galaxy S2 after Razr's full review. Let see what will be the CPU Benchmark test of the Galaxy Nexus vs Droid Razr.
don_bomber, 08 Nov 2011not interest to spend my money to buy this ugly thing :pand that's why you gonna buy Galaxy Nexus :)
I think screen's width is little bit less and the FM radio transmitter can be added to the phone.
don_bomber, 08 Nov 2011not interest to spend my money to buy this ugly thing :pThen please don't. This phone will be sold out within the hour on release day. Since you're not buying one, that will increases my chance of geting one. Thank you.
And why do you believe a pure google device would use an user interface such as sense? AOSP is reference to development, such as a rom not the operating system. Samsung makes very good phones and so does HTC, if a person wants an UI over their OS they can buy a phone with one. I for one favor no UI as I am concerned with performance and reliability, not a company's polish. This phone has both. It is a shame people do not understand the purpose of this phones development.

Get out here with your lagging, power hungry and fancy looking sense UI.

Can't port and run HTC Sense UI, just another boring android ASOP phone, what a shame that Google let Samsung make their phones now.
smarth, 07 Nov 2011no point buying it cause its the same price as iphone 4s there is that one point of it being a lot, lot, lot better than the iPhone, and probably still will be against next years iPhone and the one after that
gadgetman, 07 Nov 2011Should I wait for this phone, or just go get the Galaxy s2? Any thoughts? It really is your choice...YOu really dont have to wait for it if you want to purchase Gal S ii - the specs are pretty much the same. Gal S ii will also be receiving Ice Cream Sandwich update as soon as its available - however, I would not update it right away, I will wait for the moment until they sort out all the bugs.
Now that Apple has iphone4s and Samsung has this,What do you think HTC will bring out that marches any of these? I am HTC Fun for a very long time ago.
Anonymous, 07 Nov 2011You are completely wrong about the n8 12mp camera.. If it was crap, why is it still rated as t... moreSo much misinformation about digital image sensors here....
An 8mp or 12 mp sensor of the same size would both have higher pixel density than a 5mp sensor of the same size. Bearing that in mind here is a fact for you:
Decreasing pixel size reduces the number of photons collected by each pixel, resulting in
lower dynamic range and signal-to-noise ratio.
Ergo having more pixels on the same size sensor will give you less dynamic range (dark areas will be too dark while light areas will be too light when both exist in the same shot) and result in higher noise (pictures will be more grainy in low light conditions)
There are no other "quality" definers for an image sensor other than size, distance between pixels and size of individual pixels. So a 5mp sensor could take better pictures than an 8mp sensor under all light conditions given the size of the sensor is the same and you are not going to print anything larger than a A3 photograph (you will notice no difference at A3 with your eyes).
Disclaimer: I do not know the physical size of these sensors, but my guess is they are the same.
