If i can settle with a 5MP Cam, might as well i bought a 200 bucks phone, it is not the matter of 5MP is sufficient, come on they asking for 800 bucks, we expect more features than 5MP.

I am sure if it is a Nokia, ton's of bashing comments will flown in daily, just becoz it is a Samsung doesn't it can't screwed up, in this case they did.

Samsung will eventually got greedy & big headed, if people keep condone it, we will end up getting expensive low specs junk.

Bought a Samsung DVD player last month, it spoilt within 2 weeks, come on this is worst than a 20 bucks China DVD player, upon checking in Amazon product comment, many have the same problem, A leader in LED TV mfg can't even make a decent DVD player, this is pathetics.

Wake up kimchi muncher boy, u won't go too far, if u come with anymore of this low spec expensive junk.

its cool phone but samsung didn't going to give the best tech to google! they keep the best for them self, but still nexus prime the best google phone cause its getting the update in time unlike other droid device and still has better 1080p video than gs2!

All the usual hypocrisy, defending 5MP. When SGS3 comes with a 16MP, suddenly it'll be WOOOO 16MP WoooOOOOOOTTTT! Cmon guys, just chill.

The real Nexus phone is Droid Razr that coming in Europe. The IMPOSSIBLE THINNEST phone 7.1mm Droid Razr International coming with a unlock boostloader and will get ISC Android 4.0.

They didn't make it a 8mp because it was not fast enough and they wanted to keep it 0 sec shutter lag for the rapid camera capture feature hence why they left it 5mp rather then 8mp. That's my guess and i think I'm probably right otherwise they would've added made it an 8mp camera.. an I think they should've put the 3 led buttons on the bottom like galaxy s2...(no physical button) because this sacrifice abit of the screen IMO.

> In reply to guldis @ 2011-10-23 21:50 from Tu2i - click to readIf Megapixels dont matter you're saying a vga camera with good optics can beat an 8mp camera?... i disagree it might looks good once captured but when stretch or zoom its a complete blur... so yes mp is necessary especially when you want sharper image hence more pixels > more details > more sharper image. so don't say mp isnt anything in compared to optics.

Megapixels does matter.. when you're zooming/stretching the picture it still stays sharp and 3million extra pixels is pretty good... so don't say Mp is useless because you can have a vga camera with good optics and the picture looks same as the 8mp one but when you zoom in or stretch it it looks blurry as crap..

> In reply to bostonkik @ 2011-10-23 23:06 from AD2W - click to readI believe, and am quite confident that the SGSII will be getting the update to Android 4.0.

Not sure when, however.

well this sucks, I waited so long for the galaxy s2. Now that the phone is available, they come up with android 4.0. why should we spend $550 for an old version of android now????

Better to go with either Motorola Razr King of Android phones, or iPhone 4S.
