Vamspace.in, 19 Oct 20115 MP camera.....is something wrong here???Nothing is wrong with 5MP - more megapixels doesn't mean "better quality", usually quality is even worse (especially in low-light conditions).
And, after all, this is not a camera - this is a phone ;)
some people say that 5mp is a bad one and they need 8mp. well, they're wrong. professionals care about the quality, which is achievable through camera sensitivity, lighting, ISO, sensors, etc. NOT the amount of megapixels. Heck why do you need 8mp? its not like you're shooting the entire world...
comparing to gs II the resolution and the screen size only increased other wise no improvement in nexus prime. gs II is better best.. even it doesn't have otg.. i think this wont b comparable to sII..
what's wrong with you people? 5MP is not enough? quality of sensor - not number of MPs - this is what makes a better picture. Megapixel race is already over in point and shoot cameras where many vendors go back to better sensors and 10MPs. The same should apply for mobiles. What is the point of having a lot of megapixels and making ugly and big photos? They just consume disk space
WHY are they making such big phones, jesus... a 3.7-4 inch screen is enough. Its like we're going back in time and using bricks. I don't want it to look like i'm holding a book too my face, and my pockets are only so big. One of the biggest reasons why I haven't switched from iphone to galaxy s2
5MP camera is totally adequate.
For shooting better photos please use a DSLR.
lakshya, 19 Oct 2011too poor it has only 5/1.3 mp instead of 8/2 mp rear/front camera...should have provided bette... moreSeems to be really impossible to content everybody...
Most important than the quantity of Mp, is the quality of the lens...
As it is a Google device, does it allow usage of Facebook?
because i saw the Google¦Samsung live event, and it nowhere mentiones or shows that we can add or share fotos/videos etc. using facebook.
Vamspace.in, 19 Oct 20115 MP camera.....is something wrong here???Phone is far less its hype, glamour etrc. iphone has better snob and brand value and offcourse much better features. Not reliable as compared to nokia and iPhone
only plus is ice cream sandwich. Other specs are not pleasing. Come with new specs of Prime II as like galaxy II.
If im not mistaken the device does not have support for a micro sd card. Can gsmarena confirm that it does? The said spec doesnt appear in google/nexus websitr
does this have microSD card support? everywhere else I read says it doesn't have microSD card support!
weretiger, 19 Oct 2011Samsung will not shot itself by launching something which has higher spec than SGSII.... else ... moreYes, i agree.. the way i see it is that this phone serves more as a platform for developers and hardware manufacturers.. with the relatively mediocre specs (compared to flagship models nowadays), it shows its compatibility with lower spec phones that have been out in the market for a while.. and certainly samsung, being a biz company, wouldn't want to cut its sales by introducing a google phone that is better than its flagship model.. the OS can certainly work for phone with faster cpu, or more MP cameras.. but why must they push the price even higher? They can cut corners here and there just to make this platform phone more affordable.. and don't forget about the megapixel myth.. more megapixels doesn't necessarily equates to better image quality, it only lets you print bigger.. but again, how many of you actually print bigger than A4 from phone camera? For me, 5mp is more than enough, 8mp is a bonus..
I don't know why people care so much about megapixels.. has anyone here not read about the megapixels myth? More megapixels does not necessarily means better image quality.. it just makes it larger.. want a better image quality? Then you should care more about its pixel size, noise handling capability and its light gathering capability.. want a great camera? Get a digital camera.. if competitors go with a decent 8mp cameras but you have a better performing 5mp snapper, why not? I know it's not yet proven but at least get some facts right that more MP does not necessarily means better camera.. any good photographers should know that.. i'll gladly choose a 6mp nikon d70 over lets say nikon coolpix line with 12mp in it.. because the sensor is larger and it has a better image quality than the smaller sensor in the compact cameras..
