Shahrukhapple, 02 Aug 2017Hold on buddy its just a rumor not the actual phone, wait till the official launchEverything is leaked, even the dimensions being compared to current competing brands. I have a pretty good idea of how bigger the screen would be with the 9:18 ratio.
Yup, bigger than what I'm used to with a 5.7", to a 6.2" Galaxy Note. Sort of a Galaxy Mega, except less sides.

Mobilemaster, 02 Aug 2017Oh boy, accordign to rumors this is going to be huge, even bigger than the S8+. You will need ... moreComparing the Note8 to the Note7, Note8 has grown to 6mm wider (1/4") and 9mm taller (3/8"). That's around 12mm or 1/2" taller than the first 5 Galaxy Notes, however, 6mm to 7mm less in width. And it's just 3mm taller and 1.1mm wide than the S8+, and so it's so ever very very very slightly bigger than the S8+.
That almost 1cm taller than my old Galaxy Note 3 means that this thing will be hard to fit my top shirt pocket... It's 4mm taller than my Note 3 with a Zerolemon battery case! Hmmm I guess it's still workable.
I just hope Zerolemon comes out with a battery case by NOT increasing the bottom and upper chins as they did on the S8 duo models. Totally hideous.
While some are confused between what Galaxy Note as a tool, less than as a status, there are little rumors about what the Note8's S Pen's new function or pressure-sensitivity levels. I remember the Note7's S Pen as the best that I've ever tried while drawing.
I'm hoping that at least 4000+ of pressure level sensitivity with tilt input would be there. Pair it to a laptop that has 3D programs like Mudbox, or just the Sketchbook mobile app, it can be a sufficient productive tool for visual creators.
The concept of a 5"+ screen device with a Wacom active digitizer pen with pressure-sensitivity was what made people who draw like me to getting the first Galaxy Note in 2011.
While the masses at that time seemed to reject and ridiculed the idea a big screen like 5.5" as "too big" in 2011, I find it to be an ideal tool for even hand writing as a process for working out ideas.
Anonymous, 02 Aug 2017this phone will be the best phone of the year. no one can beat this!yes. no one can be ugly like this one
Do Not like edge screen in Note, you should give range for people who don't want edge screen
I have both S7 edge and edge+ and I feel S7 screen is better because no edge
hopefully there is version without edge same as note 4

Oh boy, accordign to rumors this is going to be huge, even bigger than the S8+. You will need some really big pockets.

I can work with a Galaxy Note and a Surface Pro, but a Galaxy Note only for most days.
This new leak posted recently states 4gb ram.
You can get a 8gb ram oneplus 5 for around 650 dollars. Why Samsung doesn't listen to customers??
At least 6gb ram should have been there. When a C9 phone by samsung can have it why not S Series.
If thats because of the edge screen then for cosmetic purposes functionality is compromised
I hve an S7 edge ,was waiting for note8 , never bought an iphone till now. i think its time. The iphone 8 being 10th aniversary would be a good option as a safe investment
Tech.Chief, 01 Aug 2017This is the same reason why desperate Microsoft is full blast into hardware now.
They know ... moreSurface products blow away any Apple products. Even my old Surface 2 can connect to a mouse, has a full USB port, and has a full keyboard integration when you want it. This was out before the so-called "Pro" iPad, except I found the Apple Pencil personally a very good drawing instrument.
I see these as tools, never something for show. Note8 with a fast-focusing camera, S Pen, but as fragile with glass back and silly enough for Samsung to seal the battery will still blow away any iPhone. It could be integrated with a desktop screen and works with a keyboard and mouse as an S8.

And with this, the iPhone should have been 50% better than any other phone. But what do we see? All iPhone users got is "it's faster, it's faster" BS that's all

They know they can push optimized updates and software to their own products. Also they know people will rather invest in their line of hardware than else because others wont get optimized software as Microsoft's very own OEM hardware.

Im buying the Note 8 because its the most premium I can get from Android, Im using android because its a cheaper ecosystem and more mainstream in my part of the world.
If i lived in the US or Canada, the ideal ecosystem would be a Macbook Pro, an iPad Pro (with the pencil) and the iPhone.
Its just what it is. And again, in a few months time the Note 8 will be a flaship with outdated specs and lags - its just what happens when the software manufacturer is NOT the hardware manufacturer. No optimization
Nothing personal, its just what it is
Tech.Chief, 01 Aug 2017Well I'll have to disagree with you on generalising your field requirements (according to you)... moreHehehe, Apple made the Apple pencil to compete with the Galaxy Note, and S Tablets with an S Pen. I already told you I was thinking about getting an iPad Pro just only because it is good for drawing.
The thing is, I've done drawings/digital paintings with Galaxy Notes since 2011. It's the reason why I buy only the Note line-up, and never the S ones. I even bought extra thicker S (Wacom) Pens that work pretty good. I kept the Note7 S Pen and works far better.
I'm pretty sure the Note8 S Pen will bring a better interface AGAIN (tilt input) since Samsung owns Wacom that produces and has already implemented tilt input over with the latest Tab S3 and Book.
Yup, I'm excited about the Note8. Apple has no intention of integrating the Apple Pencil, nor produce an iPhone Note with a tiny digitizer pen - that will be the day... probably in 5 years since you are a fan of their very slow pacing for technology.
You have no real counter to all of my points in the inconsistency of an Apple ecosystem that you brag about.
