I've been using the Note 3 (N9005) , updating from note 2 . Here is my pros and cons.
- super fast, did a heavy usage and gaming . So far no lags and normal heat. Improved S pen. Nice leather on the back
- best screen and angle viewing I've seen to this date. Best multitasking and very cool and useful multi-widow (you can chat with 2 contacts from whatsup at the same time!).
- very good battery life , 32gb built in memory + microSd . MicroUSB 3.0 that transfer files super fast and charge faster the the standard 2.0 USB. ( it's backwards compatible with microUSB 2.0 ) so no worry here!
- very good camera ( like the S4 ), Samsung did a good job not sacrificing the camera quality for the sake of making a business mobile.
- you can handle the note 3 with one hand, but the Note 2 felt a little comfortable than the 3 in terms of one hand use.
- more and more boltware by sumsung ! But you can remove most of them without rooting
Bottom line. The note 3 is a beast mobile, I really want to change from Samsung note 2 to something new and different , my list was ( Sony Z1 - Lg G2 - HTC max one )
Z1 had a a poor sound quality cause of the water resistance thing and shockingly bad photo processing despite the great hardware camera ! Lg G2 and Max one ... I will Never Ever buy a phone that lacks MicroSd !
this note 3 is 95% same as samsung galaxy s4.. Overall samsung galaxy s4 is best.
I had a quick play with the Note 3 in a store here in the UK. I just found it a little underwhelming, I guess, especially for it's ultra high price tag. I own a Galaxy S3 and I was hoping to replace it with this, but I won't do it. While the screen was undoubtedly impressive, the speaker quality was quite poor and positioned badly, no FM radio at all, the build quality didn't feel too wonderful and I guess I was expecting something a bit better with the software as well.
Except for iphone launch this has been tops on leaderboard for hits for ages.I was one of the folk back then that said Note would be a niche product but I was so wrong..Where I live there are more women using Noye than men which is even more surprising because women usually go for petite items,(not being sexist)..I am getting interested day by day and may get Note 2 to start with because by the time Note 2 comes down it will be a while.
YAP RONY, 27 Sep 2013have been receiving error message 'unfortunately indexservice has stopped' almost every time o... more"Unfortunately, IndexService has stopped."
I have the same too...
Note3 can accept only a limited number of files in extSdCard!!!
I don't know why???
But you can try:
Eject your extSdCard or delete some Files in extSdCard... so it WILL work!
If you have the same warning, I'm sure that you have more than 2Gb in extSdCard.
This is too BAD of Note3!
Why u not added higher megapixle for front camera add at least. 5 mega pixel.

junay, 28 Sep 2013Your comment is descriptive,non-technical and personal. Let's face it, unless u are 6'6" ... moreim 6'6 and have the note 1 and 2 and i can use them both with one hand... i can also use my mega with one hand... so i dont know wth ur on about
Fer9, 28 Sep 2013But LG G2 doesn't have a micro sd card slot and the UI is so ugly, I love Touchwiz UI and the ... moreYour comment is descriptive,non-technical and personal. Let's face it, unless u are 6'6" u will have have a hard time using your note 3 with one hand. But I like Note 3 for reading and browsing and maybe note taking. Now here are some technical comparisons: Battery Life: LG G2 - Web browsing time overall champion vs Note 3-???, Camera: LG G2 has OIS(Optical Image Stabilization) vs Note 3-Has nothing, Ergonomics: G2-has a stunning 5.2" in an edge-to-edge display, bezels are almost negligible, it's comfortable to use with one hand vs Note3 has 2-3x bezel thickness and at 79 mm width it's far u need to use two hands o u better avoid using it while on train and especially on bus. And so on and so forth ...
Galaxy Note 3 has a corning gorilla glass display protection.. >> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/L...orilla_Glass
This is the first Samsung device which is lag free. Lag is almost negligible. This device is must have device. It is truly a beast. Doesn't matter which version u get exynos or snapdragon both are the best in terms of performance and battery life apart from the 4k recording. The mali t628 which is in the exynos version is incompatible with some high end games as it's a very new gpu. But as time passes development will solve this issue. In the end any version u get ull b happy. As far as price is concerned wait for sometime it will go down. Rest this is really an awesome device. There are ample of proper reviews and further more will come and it will stand out as one of the best devices. It's multi tasking is what makes it very useful n takes into a different league so guys go for it. Peace
i want to ask about the sound is like the good sound of Note 2 or not,
Also , is it have Corning Gorilla Glass or not
MC, 27 Sep 2013Despite all the bells and whistles, as a note 2 owner i'm really disappointed in Samsung for o... moresooo agree with you..
samsung give us FM radio!!!
or I personally will switch from note 2 to a non samsung phone
Samsung has recently begun a policy for locking its Android devices to work only in the regions where they are bought from. The usage of the phones and the tablets will depend on the continent where the SIM-card is issued and activated. For example, if you buy and activate a Samsung Galaxy S3 from a European retailer, you will only be able to use it within Europe. The same rule applies for Asia and America as well (North and South). The news about the new policy of Samsung came from UK retailers which reported that the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 devices come in a package with certain sign on it. The sign reads a message with the regions where the device can be used with its full functionality.
Thanks to a statement made by the Samsung Germany, the new rules relate to Android devices produces after the end of July, 2013. The models that will be influenced by the policy are Samsung Galaxy S 3, Samsung Galaxy S2, Samsung Galaxy S4, Samsung Galaxy S4 mini, Samsung Galaxy Note and Samsung Galaxy Note 3. Users will be able to travel and use their devices within the regions included in the lock policy, written in the sign of the box. The stickers on the box reveal that SIM cards issued to a certain continent will not operate on another. There is an option for devices to be unlocked if they are bough from certain region but have never been activated. Users then can take the device to Samsung service partner and get it unlocked.
Alert on the new boxes with devices informs for the new policy of Samsung for SIM-locking the devices
The Korean manufacturer uses the so called MCC lock (Mobile Country Code). It is done through Customer Software Customization white list of countries. Some users can try to remove the lock but this will most likely void the warranty, therefore it is not recommended action. It is still not clear why Samsung has decided to go on this path, especially after it tries to launch devices for business purpose. Modern business people travel a lot which means big inconvenience for those who want to use their phones abroad.
