This is what i have observed after 5.1.1 lollipop update
I have been using note 3 neo for two years now. This is an exceptional smartphone i would say as it gives premium note experience. I don't have any complaints regarding the device. With the recent update to lollipop the device has become very laggy and feels like I'm using a low end unresponsive phone. Okay i will highlight the key issues down:
1) Lock screen has become very laggy. We need to draw lock pattern for 4 to 5 times to open the lock.
2) Sometimes the phone doesn't respond when home or power button is pressed. We need to do it for 5 to 6 times to reapond.
3) Lot's of apps have been crashing randomly.
4) Laggy UI
5) Touch doesn't respond very well.
6) Battery lasts long only when kept in idle mode, usage of phone starts decreaseing the battery drastically.
7) Ringtone volume is not loud when we get calls. It feels like something is blocked between speakers.( This is major as we dont hear the the phone ringing in traffic )
8) The new keypad is very laggy.
I hope samsung resolves these issues and makes everyone happy.
Some body tell me when did lollipop release for note 3 neo n7505 in India ???
sonu, 29 Jan 2016 can you tell me performance of device after updating in 5.1 lollipopI think kitkat is best
I get neos lolipop update and his performance is low mob slowly hang ......
The 26th Jan Update of Lollipop killed my Note 3 Neo.
Contacts has been updating since past 3 days. Cache partition wipe even can't help.
Battery's getting drained crazily.
Message gets hanged and blank screen.
Phone needs to be restarted if the WhatsApp and Viber messages start coming with no notification!!
And I'm going to factory reset my device today because of this update. Thanks Team Android. You killed it.
After upgrading to Lollipop my 32Gb Samsung SD card crashed. Please remove before upgrading
Updated it to 5.1.1(Lollipop). Its working just fine. Transition is smooth, no lags, battery is getting charged more quickly than before. Satisfied with the update.

SS, 28 Jan 2016Does Note 3 Neo support 64 GB SDXC memory cards?Yes it does
I've installed the Indian ROM update within hours of the release, 890MB. After the update, first thing I did was a factory reset of the phone. Then to be extra sure I did a wipe cache partition. I've read that phone would tend to be a little laggy bout a week so I waited to comment on the update.
So this is what I noticed over the past few days. The ui looks new, obviously. But feels fresh, few instances of material design are visible even in touchwiz. UI is smooth. App switching has got the lollipop card system. Too many cards for my liking, but that's my opinion. Screen on time I got was 3h55m on day two and 16% battery remaining, with approx 23hrs on battery. So overall I'm getting a solid day per charge. I use the SPen to launch the calculator a lot, I've noticed it launches a bit quicker than on 4.4.2. Native apps load quicker for sure. Also the lock screen notifications are brilliant with the option to launch the camera.
Overall, after a few days of using 5.1.1, I feel satisfied after updating. Still getting used to a few core changes. I recommend you guys to upgrade, but do ***factory reset***
