> In reply to TheNeighbor @ 2013-05-07 14:48 from v0qJ - click to readThanks again for the help - I already own a 1 TB HDD where I store most of my files. I plan to use the tab as a substitute to carrying my laptop all the time (planning to use laptop only in office) - hence I was wondering how easy would it be to access all my tv series/movies that are mainly stored in the HDD. This is the only hold-up for me at moment (else I have been waiting for this tablet to launch since the beginning of this year!!!). Please feel free to suggest any other ways with which I can easliy access my HDD data from the tab without having to connect through my laptop all the time. Thanks again!!

> In reply to M.j @ 2013-05-14 21:46 from B}aF - click to read"1.Is there any hands-free in the box?"
Yes, and it's in white again. It makes more sense in getting a pair of Bluetooth ones as this thing
"2.Battery life compared with tab 7.7 P6800"
I read the Tab 7.7 has up to 12 hours of screen on usage. The Note 8 could only go up to 8 hours of screen on time. I researched on it as I came across one on sale with the same price as the Note 8. However, the 7.7, though having an AMOLED screen that I love, does not have an active Wacom S Pen and has no capacitive keys that work with the S Pen. The power of the Note 8's quad-core processor and 2GB of RAM make it such a more productive device. I personally need it for sketching and image editing with Adobe Photoshop Touch.
"3.Screen brightness and view angle and colors
compared with tab 7.7 P6800"
The Note 8's TFT screen clarity and viewing angles are surprisingly excellent. I haven't come across any review that talks bad about it.
I haven't been using this(N5100) as a smartphone, and I use it as an extension of my Note II. The 64GB micro SD card compatibility just transforms this into a powerful multi-media device. I rooted this and can now connect to my portable hard disk.

Hi guys,
I want to ask guys who have the 3G Version (N5100) to write here about these things:
1.Is there any hands-free in the box?
2.Battery life compared with tab 7.7 P6800
3.Screen brightness and view angle and colors
compared with tab 7.7 P6800
And to GSM Arena: A review of the 3G version is a must guys…
Thanks in advance

Just bought this in Delhi at Rs 29K. Very fast and handy to use. The option of using split screen is also good. With a usage of 4-5 hours everyday - mix of browsing, games, songs, videos - the battery should last for 2 days - which I think should have been given more attention to. Overall, a good product for Android lovers. Other alternative - go for ipad Mini.

Even I like my ipad mini a lot I got Note 8 also and I love it more than my ipad. I sell my Note 10 and S3 buy Note 8 and S4. S4 by far better any other phone in market like HTC One , iPhone and LG optimus G.
Note 8 much better lighter than Note 10 and has more function and faster than ipad mini

Just got note 8 and i am using it ryt now :)
PROS: fast and an all in one device, if your movies, reading, games, sketching, drawing, some of the other things i have not played around yet.
Screen is actually ok, i do not see any pixels if you have retina or amoled you can see the difference however it is fine for me,
battery last for at least 6hrs on full internet, downloading, and games.
sound could be better.
In general it is worth it for its price.
Cons:
A bit large for my hands it is hard to grasp. Subjective though.
Screen could be better

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2013-05-12 16:01 from P@L8 - click to readDo you actually have the Note 8? I think it's quite good. The screen is brilliant, power can give you at least 7 hours of screen on use. What other Android tablet class can give you a Wacom digitizer, quad-core processor, 2GB RAM, phone functions and an expansion slot for up to 64GB of memory? I think the price is quite justified for the most powerful tablet right now.
