> In reply to tarek ahmad @ 2012-11-20 17:46 from fkEb - click to readthis isn't a problem with the note 2. when the note 1 first came out, some people who aren't used to oled screens complained that the screens looked a bit blueish, because oled screens have a bit of a blue hue in white backgrounds. with note 2, samsung tried to fix this by giving white backgrounds a bit of a yellow hue to reduce the blueness of the screen. the matter of fact is, there's no clear definition of what a 'white' background should look like. since you got used to the first note, the second note looked yellowish to you. that can happen sometimes when people switch from one screen brand ( not necessarily a cell phone ) to another. the fact that all the note 2 screens that you looked at looked the same to you is a proof of this. it all depends on what screen you got used to and personal preference, really.

> In reply to Soratronix @ 2012-11-20 22:38 from iJDM - click to readit won't be long before human eyes won't recognize the difference between a very high res phone and an even higher res one. human eyes can only detect 4xx ppi density, a 4k phone isn't needed because it won't make any difference from a lower res one.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2012-11-22 05:47 from U}}x - click to readNokia never had that throne, Sony Ericsson was by far the longest lasting phones. I used to buy and sell and repair and Nokia is the brand to go for if you want degrading hardware. All old symbian phones die slowly but surely, until they just stop in one way or the other. 6120c for example, NEVER seen an old one that didnt have sudden reboot issues, those things would last aba year and then get worse and worse till they would not boot at all. N82, they all got the same issues after 2-3 years, and the list goes on.

Have you ever seen phones where all have the same problem? Blown speakers of N95-2 for example, there is no equivalent to those quality issues in any other brand.

More recent example? I had a Nokia N9 that started to have degraded cell network signal some months ago, it got worse and worse and now it has no signal at all. Less than a year old when the problem started to emerge, and it turns out some others are also experiencing degrading signal on N9. This will be a big roblem now when the N9s out there are getting older, and its just so typical Nokia, they just dont last...

So, Nokia cannot claim a throne they never had. This one goes to old ericsson and more recently sony ericsson, for sure.
