Please help, im from SA and would like to know if its possible to lock certain apps like your message folder without having to lock your screen?
a few days ago, i purchased mugen power battery for Note 2 ( HLI-N7100XL 6400 mAh ) from unifirm.com ( fattafa.com ).
do you know this product or this site.
is it original battery?
can i use this battery?
please help me.
I own a Note 2 for the past 8 months now
Best phone i have ever used.
Simply superb. super fast and responsive. No Lag!
Internal Hardware is great
Really Changed my life . I have formatted and loaded custom roms on many occasions, no problems
S Pen is a game changer - love using it!
For such a big screen the battery is exceptional
I am a heavy user and charge it once a day
when i dont use it heavily it can survive almost 2 days
Cons: Plastic build
The silver border in the edge of the phone and charger socket starts peeling after a while (Get a GOOD cover)
Drop it and you are doomed. (get a good COVER that will protect phone when dropping)
BIG - its sometimes uncomfortable in my jeans (and even bigger with a good cover)
Samsung Charger Died after 6 months.
Had to buy another one
the data cable also broke (from normal wear and tear)Came loose at connector exposing wire until one day it didnt work
AVG antivirus is pathetic, u will need to tick everything before it starting to do his job. Non-user friendly...
Pls to all users of this phone, is it advisable to install antivirus in Galaxy Note 2 ? If yes, which particular antivirus is good? Thanks.

human, 24 Jul 2013I want to buy a phablet/tablet. I really liked the s pen features so I wanted to buy galaxy no... moreI have both Note II and the Note 8.
Note 8 - great for indoors, fantastic enough screen contrast, more screen size for doing anything, and light enough for one hand. The camera is good enough to scan documents. I don't use flash to take pictures. NFC connection can be replaced with SuperBeam using QR method to connect WifiDirect automatically. The only bad thing about it is it has a non-replaceable. I'm a heavy user to the point that I use my mobile device to download torrents a lot, always wirelessly connected with other devices, and internet radio. I would find myself needing a charge at 40% left in the middle of the day so I could get it to work till late evening. I now know how Xperia Z, iPhone and anything with fixed battery would be utterly inconvenient for heavy users.
Note II - Compact enough for pockets, has all the features, except the screen is smaller. This I use for my wifi hotspot since I take advantage of my unlimited 3G internet. The replaceable battery is a convenient way of continuous power than plugging in. I get through 1.5 batteries worth everyday. I'd like to get that 9000mAh Zero Lemon battery extension. That could give me 2 days of heavy use without charging!
In conclusion, I'd keep my Note II over the Note 8 for reliability with battery power. I can always charge the spent battery with a desktop charger. I recently discovered that with root, I can manipulate the resolution to 200ppi and I can install my favorite apps for tablets.
digital friend, 23 Jul 2013really superb phone , everything is fantastic and especially its battery timing is above all. ... moreThe Note II got released almost a year ago. No sense wishing it being a full HD. Note III is going to be FHD. You should wait for that. The 720p is very clear enough. If FHD is just going to increase the battery consumption, I'd just stick with the Note II.
