> In reply to James @ 2012-05-06 11:56 from 0TYA - click to readSure, if you're running a 64bit version of windows, and running multithreaded apps and programs optimised for quad cores, but in the Android world, where Samsung takes the smooth vanilla android, stuffs it with TouchWiz, making it slower than a 100 year old turtle, and where basic stuff like fruit ninja or doodle jump take about a year to be updated, you're better off with a dual core. Plus, the only way all apps and games will get multithreaded performance upgrades is 6 months after Apple introduces a quad core processor, and app devs think, "I'm bored. Might as well put out an Android version".

Don't get me wrong, I'd choose Android over iOS but the comparatively abysmal support (and Sammy's talent to slow down an already fluid UI) is really a disappointment.

A few days ago I was wondering if I should bought this phone or wait for the galaxy s3 but I risked on this one and I was afraid of get regretted but I think I have made the right choice! The s3 thats a very good phone but for me the note is the real beast! The s pen, the huge 5,3 display...this is real innovation! Dont u agree with me? Ant soon it will have the ics!

Surely if you incdease the speed to 1.8ghz and keep dual core would be better than quad core 1.5? Anyway it all seems like penis envy on specs.. I want ics to unlock the potential and fluidity of the note... My partners htc desire hd has a smoother skin

> In reply to Siddhanth @ 2012-05-04 13:27 from 2SU{ - click to readHehe, I vaguely remembered the article:

http://m.gsmarena.com/samsung_...ews-4160.php

It only mentioned that it would be easier for manufacturers to adapt in applying the new quad-core processor since it's exactly the same pin slot. The video did use Galaxy Note units to demonstrate between the current dual core and the new quad core.

In theory, if you manage to get an Exynos quad core processor, it could work.

That'd be like for hard core hobbyist to go in and mess with the circuits.

Mean culpa... Sorry, my mistake. Samsung MIGHT somehow come out with a Note model with a quad core processor. I wish it could be so easy to upgrade or Note's processor just like desktop PCs.
